Dr. Paul Lawrence Cooper, MD

Me and my family have been seeing him for well over 15 years now.. if he moved out of state I'd be willing to go to him just to see HIM. Some of these other reviewers do not like the honest truth he gives and that's not his fault.. grow a spine people.

I went in to see him as my regular doctor was out. I had symptoms that were odd even to me but thankfully got to the root cause quickly. He called me personally twice. He really listened - believe me that is hard to find and he asked excellent questions.

I have been a patient of Dr. Cooper's for almost 4 years at RMFP. I consider him a very thorough and concerned doctor who cares about my mental well-being and success. Since becoming homeless 3 years ago from situational difficulties, he has urged me to avoid becoming unstable enough to live at a swampy river that is near the doctor's office. He was shocked to see the inhabitants at this river, who currently include a blind woman and a man with terminal cancer who, for some reason, aren't in a better environment for their needs. I had a recent unexplainable back injury while staying at this river, resulting in 5 fractured vertebrae, the loss of a pair of glasses, and confirmation that stability is not found at this gloomy ravine. I have also been reminded by a recent bill that was considered "out-of-network" to get referrals to/from doctors in multiple locations and update the statuses of the PCP with regard to health insurances such as Medicaid. I have almost completed fixing this… issue, and I am looking forward to seeing Dr. Cooper in 2018 to update him on my mental state! Thank you.

We got off to a bad start but after talking a while, I think he got to know me better and we came to an agreement .The problem was he was too honest with me and I became frightened. He at first proposed I stop all my medication and i knew from previous experience that this would endanger my sanity and my life..

My family has been seeing Dr. Cooper for over 10 years. He does love the ladies...however, he is a male chauvinist. He thinks if your a woman 50 or older hot flashes, weight gain ect., are not worthy of treatment. He also stated that" he only gives his patients what they ask for". As a patient I go to the doctor to find out what is wrong with me...I don't want to be told it is all in my head. I want him to take my family and me seriously. We hardly ever go to the doctor, but when we do...I expect him to treat us with respect and receive a complete exam. Not just his personal opinion...without anything to back it up. Blood work doesn't lie. Peggy is the best thing he has going for him. This is at the Rocky Mountain Family Practice, Longmont, CO location.

Absolutely the most professional and caring Doctor that has ever treated me.His forthright diagnosis and followup was awesome.

I was a little nervous about finding a new family physician after my friend/doctor of 21 years passed away. A co-worker recommmended Dr. Cooper so I went online to their website, filled out paperwork and called the office for an appointment. The staff was so friendly and very professional both on the phone and when I arrived at the office. The office is clean and very comfortable and I waited about 2 minutes for Dr. Cooper's assistant to call me back to an exam room where she got a bit more information from me. After she left, I waited about 1 minute for Dr. Cooper to come in. He immediately put me at ease. He was respectful, thorough, extremely competent and he took his time with me. He immediately interacted with me as a whole person not just a patient and he communicated with me with confidence and again, respect. He was able to take his knowledge and experience and commuicate to me on a level that I could easily understand. I did see a couple of negative reviews on this site (that… I suspect came from the same person), but I discounted them because the reviewer sounded a bit erratic in the post(s)and so I wanted to see for myself. And I'm so glad I did because after just one visit I know I've found my new family doctor.

You will Get excllent care from this doctor, that is if youre good looking.He was always good to me until I asked him to do his job and put my health first. His office sent me a letter that he wouldnt treat me or my family anymore, also that no one else from there practice would either. He didnt even give me a reason why. And I trusted him so much, I thought he was such a good man. All I can say about him now is you messed up, and I will never forgive you. I hope you still sleep good at night knowing you caused my family a lot of problems. Oh and youre not a good doctor. COWARD

I think his overall bedside manner is awesome he takes the time to make sure I feel good about the visit. I had surgery a little while ago and he made sure I felt comfortable and was knowledgeable about everything I was going to go through. I am in the medical profession and it is hard to find a doctor that I trust and like. This says a lot for him because I am picky.

If you are a female he thinks everything is quote "your nerves here take some valium or ativan". He has told this to other women that I know that have gone to him. He is very rude and treats you like an idiot. However if you take someone in the room with you his attitude is completely different.
