Formerly he worked as a contract psychiatrist for Pine Rest Traverse City Clinic in Traverse City, Michigan and Manistee-Benzie Community Mental Health Center in Manistee and Benzie Counties, Michigan, prior to joining the Lindner Center of HOPE. His primary duty for his two contract positions was to manage the outpatient treatment of children and adolescents with moderate to severe mental illness including disorders of behavior, anxiety, mood; psychosis; and the effects of abuse, neglect, and trauma.

Dr. Crosby also worked as a private practice psychiatrist at Northern Michigan Psychiatric Services in Traverse City. His work experience also includes contract work at V.A. Medical Center and Central Clinic in Cincinnati.
Dr. Crosby co-authored a Chapter about Psychiatric Pharmacotherapy in Adolescent Medicine: The Requisites in Pediatrics. Formerly, he was an instructor for the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine for two student courses: Brain and Behavior for first year medical students and the Medical Interview section of Introduction to Clinical Practice.

His awards include a Psychiatry Resident Teaching Award from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and a University of Cincinnati College of Medicine Academic Scholarship. He has also lectured on Posttraumatic Stress Disorder in preschool and early school-aged children.

Dr. Crosby is affiliated with the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, American Psychiatric Association, International Society for Sports Psychiatry, American Medical Association and Michigan Medical Society. Dr. Crosby also serves on the Professional Advisory Board for Suburban Cincinnati Children and Adults with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD).
