Dr. Paul Walter Daum, MD

Based on my last visit.

Paul daum is extremely unprofessional. Uncaring, no empathy, sarcastic, no time to answer questions, makes you feel stupid, impatient, Rude. This man should not have his medical liscence; it is clear he is not doing this for the right reasons. He performed a pap smear while I was pregnant and it was very painful. I asked if that was normal to feel pain and he responded something along the lines of: "you should feel a little pressure." He waited until the end of the visit to tell me that I was going to see bleeding but not to worry it was only because he "scratched" me!! When I delivered he didn't show up until the end and it seemed like he just wanted to get it over with. He kept wanting to take breaks during delivery and did not remove the blood clots in me post delivery because he was impatient. He gave me the feeling he didn't want to be there. After delivery I had so much pain that I was throwing up and he instructed the nurse to give me a drug that knocked me out. I overheard… the nurse tell him on the phone I had big clots that still needed to be taken out and I was in so much pain I was throwing up. Not sure what he told her but she responded asking him to come back. He responded something..she quietly said okay and came back to me with a defeated look on her face and proceeded to give me the drug. The next day he walks into my hospital room and says no one notified me you where in labor...umm I called him when I was on my way to the hospital and he responded "Go to the hospital, I'll meet you there." He didnt show up until the next day when I had already been pushing for hours. It was a nighmare to say the least. He spoke bad about other patients of color and overweight. After typing all this I remember more and more I feel like I'm reliving everything and it makes me emotional.

I had an amazing experience with Dr. Daum and his staff! They were courteous and very attentive during my whole pregnancy! This was my first baby and Dr. Daum helped me in many ways from my first ultrasound to delivering my baby. He always did what was in the best interest for me and my daughter and was honest with my care the entire time! He will continue to be my physician and any other pregnancies I have In the future!

I started going to Dr. Daum in 2011. He took me in as a patient half way through my pregnancy which doesn’t typically happen. He’s the reason my son is here today and in great health. He was there through entire pregnancy even with the complications and he relieved my son through csection. The scar is barely visible. Such an amazing doctor.

I STARTED GOING TO DR DAUM FOR 15 YEARS AND HE HAS DELIVERED ALL 3 OF MY KIDS AND HE IS AWESOME. HE IS THE BEST OB/GYN DOCTOR THAT IS AROUND THE DFW METROPLEX AREA. THEIR STAFF IS AWESOME AND I WILL NEVER EXCHANGE DR DAUM FOR ANY OTHER DOCTOR. THANK YOU DR. DAUM FOR BEING A GREAT DOCTOR.

Dr. Daum delivered me (28 years ago, believe it or not) and he also delivered all three of my children. He is a very well reputable doctor. Very professional, intelligent, and charismatic. His staff is amazing! I have read a few reviews with patients being upset about their appointments being re-scheduled. Let's keep in mind, his practice is OB/GYN. He brings lives into the world. Women don't decide what time they are going into labor. If you were the patient IN LABOR at the time, you would prefer Dr. Daum to leave the office to deliver your baby and cancel any appointments for the day as well. I would most definitely refer him to other patients!!!

Dr. Daum is amazing! He gets to the point. I like that.

I have been a patient of Dr. Daum's for about 15 years. He is most wonderful. He is the king of the bedside manor and listens intently to everything you need to discuss. Dr. Daum keeps up with everything going on with me not only with his treatment but with what my other doctors are doing as well. He has great insight into the needs of his patients and works diligently to treat them to the very best of his ability. I drive quite a distance to stay with Dr. Daum and don't mind the trip one bit. He is the best!

Dr Daum was very forward. He explained to me immediately that me delivering my baby at 40 wks would be unlikely due to a few pre existing medical conditions. He spent an aadequate amount of time with me explaining why he couldn't deliver my baby & what other options are available to me. His nurse, Monica was not the most efficient on prioritizing her work flow, meaning she doesn't take the time to call the lab to make sure everything is accurate or to check for any discrepancies, she ddoesn't call back to relay critical information regarding genetic testing & she doesn't verify that referrals for outsides specialist like perinatologist are submitted in a timely manner to ensure a visit. This is how my eexperience was with Dr.Daum & his staff! Not to mention a 45 min wait on my second office visit....

Dr. Daum is a wonderful Doctor. Very good bedside manner and really cares about his patients.
