My father had two torn rotator cuffs in his shoulders. Because of other medical concerns, he was told he was not a candidate for surgery. He suffered for more than 10 years as his shoulders continued to deteriorate and became more and more painful. As a farmer he was losing his ability to get his work done or earn a living and as an avid hunter he had already lost the ability to do what he enjoyed.
