Dr Paul Gellhaus

Paul Gellhaus, M.D., is an Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery and Medical Director of the Genitourinary Program at City of Hope® Cancer Center Phoenix. A recognized leader in urologic oncology and robotic(minimally invasive) surgery, Dr. Gellhaus brings innovative treatment options to patients with genitourinary and urologic disorders, including kidney, ureteral, testicular, prostate and bladder cancers.After earning his medical degree at the University of Iowa (UI) Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City, Dr. Gellhaus completed an internship and residency in urology at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, followed by a fellowship in urologic oncology and robotics at City of Hope in Southern California.Dr. Gellhaus has held numerous leadership positions, including co-director of UI’s Robotic Urology Oncology Surgery Fellowship and Founding Chief of Robotic Surgery at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Iowa City.A widely published scholar, Dr. Gellhaus’ …research covers topics including robotic surgery techniques outcomes and novel diagnostic and therapeutic techniques for bladder and prostate cancer.
