Dr. Paul Allen Greenberger, MD

That is how I started my relationship with Dr Greenberger. You SeE I inherited my father's immune system which as I a child I was told not to take any drugs at all even antibiotics were watched carefully because my father was a test subject with him knowing it when he got back from Korea on penicillin experiments..He was highly allergic o it and just about everything else he took...I ended up with a rare undiagnosed autoimmune disease. That while Dr. Greenberger had heard of it had never recognized because until we know what we are looking at you really cannot diagnose it. So we were on this journey together and he helped get me to the best people. I helped educate him on relapsing polychondritis and helped found the foundation for it. He inspired me when things were so bleak...and I got the highest recommendations from the docs at Mayo clinic about him and they are all true ..Today fellows and med students interns all learn from him what we explored together. And the disease that… was so rare is turning out not to be so rare but under diagnosed. And I have found out an uncle who died of mysterious causes had this disease, This doctor sticks with you thick and thin..Today, while I have occasional flares have been in remission for 5 years. And I am now starting to reclaim the life that slipped away from me.

Dr. Greenberger refuses to believe anything if you don't fit inside what he believs vs current research and what every other Dr does. He's got zero bedside manner and goes out of his way to make people feel like they're wasting their time and his. Do yourself a favor and see anyone but him if you've got an immune deficiency.

This doctor visit was very frustrating as I had scheduled to see a different doctor and when I arrived they said my appointment was with Dr Paul. He made me take the allergy tests although I didn't want to as I knew they are very expensive and I took this test not a long time ago. He also made me do the breathing test because of my asthma which was not necessary at all because I also had done that before and my asthma was under control. His staff spent almost one hour with me doing hundreds of questions which is fine but after all and after spending all morning in the office he finally showed up and spent not even 10 minutes with me! The only thing he said was that my allergy test pointed out exactly the same old things that I knew already, asked me to buy a mattress protection against dust mite and buy a nasal spray over the counter. In the end, my insurance charged me more than $2000 dollars and I didnt get any benefits from this doctor!! I still can't believe I'm paying all this… money for nothing as the only medication he suggested was one over the counter, which means I didnt even need a prescription from him! The impression I got was that the only thing it matters for him is to get my money through all these exams and tests! His staff do all the job for him and he just stays there to say Hi and receive the credits in the end!

Dr. Greenberger is extremely arrogant and insensitive. Upon reading my excellent blood pressure results he remarked, "Wow, usually overweight people have HIGH blood pressure." We weren't even discussing my weight; we were talking about allergy medications. It was incredibly rude and it left me in tears. I will never go back there.
