Dr. Paul L. Grindstaff, MD

I have known that Dr. Grindstaff is an expert neurologist who could help relieve my chronic migraine pain. I recently learned that same expertise was invaluable in navigating unbearable nerve pain related to a bulging disk. Over a period of weeks and months, Dr. Grindstaff helped to customize a pain management and physical therapy program that helped control that pain until the point that surgery ultimately brought the relief I needed. Dr. Grindstaff listened attentively to what worked and what didn't, checked in regularly, and made my care and positive outcome was a top priority. I could not have gotten through these past few months without Dr. Grindstaff.

I have no idea why anyone would leave a bad review of this doctor. He has been my neurologist for my debilitating Migraines and he has done everything in his power to help me stay out of the ER’s.

My experiences with Dr. Grindstaff have been quite pleasant and productive. The Dr. takes his time to listen to all my questions and concerns, then patiently explains each to my full satisfaction. I don’t feel over tested, over medicated or undervalued. I feel that I can trust that Dr. Grindstaff has the skill, professionalism and knowledge, to act in my best interest. Very pleased.

Poor diagnosis and still prescribe a higher dose of medicine

I switched to Dr. Grindstaff after several years unhappy with a different neurologist office. The Huntley office is fantastic! All the staff are great and happy. They answer all my calls promptly and the follow through is fantastic.

The visit with the doctor was okay, though bedside manners were lacking. My daughter had an MRI done and over 4 weeks later we had not heard results, When I called the office to inquire I was repeatedly put on hold while the phone rang and rang unanswered.

The office staff is terrible. I had to call 3 times to get them to read a request that was sent to them by my ophthalmologist. Then I had to wait 2 weeks to get confirmation that I could get an MRI, only to be told when I complained about how long it was taking, "We can't be expected to read everything that comes into this office." and that was the nurse! I have since waited 2 weeks for them to get back to me about my MRI... hope it isn't anything life threatening. Forget the fact that every time I go in I get a different story and a bad attitude. I understand being a busy office, I really do... but you need to get your staff in order. Dr Grindstaff himself is very cold, and unwilling to discuss things with you. If you are lucky enough to get him to look up from his laptop to talk to you, he will tell you that it could be worse.

Dr. Grindstaff attended me during my brief hospital stay. He spent considerable time explaining the results of tests and answering all my questions. I was able to understand exactly what he was saying as he has a gift for reducing medical speak to words that the lay person can understand. Following my discharge, my wife and I met with him is his office for a follow up. The staff was very courteous. Dr. Grindstaff again answered all our questions. I was shocked when I read the unfavorable reviews. They don't sound like the Dr. Grindstaff that treated me.

He is just brilliant and helped calm my anxiety. Love him.
