Dr. Paul Mason Hamilton, MD

Dr. Hamilton has been my physician for over twenty years (I think my medical chart has to be the largest, if not one of the largest charts in his practice, I’ve seen him so long). He is a fantastic listener and has always been able give me the most practical approach to anything I may stress about. He has an enormously broad background, from working with children with ADD to the elderly with dementia, and has seen everything. He is extremely intelligent with more years of experience than just about any other psychiatrist in DFW, which can be intimidating to some, but it’s really his charm and no-nonsense personality that won me over and put me at ease in an instant. I would not trust my health with any other doctor in DFW than Dr. Hamilton.

Dr. Paul Hamilton did an excellent job working with my adolescent daughter dealing with depression, anxiety, and other things. We tried different psychiatrist in the past but Dr. Hamilton provided the professional help we couldn't find elsewhere. He is a great listener, provided the right diagnosis and provided my daughter with the right mental help she needs.

My boys and I have received excellent care from he and his staff for three years. My boys are in elementary and high school.

Dr. Hamilton and his staff provided the best care possible during an emergency situation. I can not say enough about their concern and follow-through. It likely saved a life.

Currently looking for a dr. to replace him for my son. I agree with all of the negative reviews. Staff is worse than awful. They don't answer their phones, they don't return calls. Dr. Hamilton has poor people skills, he does answer his phone-(walks out on your appointment to take a call- even after you have been waiting an hour or so. he has always been 30 to 60 minutes laet. There has to be better drs out there than this. Keep looking... It is so frustrating that when you do have a problem and the drugs are not right, you can't get him to make changes because no one will call you back. You will have to wait until you can see him again (another 2 weeks or so...) .

I waited 1 1/2 hour to see him...and when I did...wasn't impressed. Will be looking for a different psychiatrist.

Dr. Hamilton has treated both of my sons. Both sons were put off a bit by him early in treatment, but we found that counseling and therapy is a "process". This doctor proved to be very intuitive and skillful in helping them work through their issues. Maybe they didn't like what he had to say or how he said it, but the "process" worked quite well. I highly recommend him.

Yes, I would choose this doctor again!

Worst ever bedside manners, long wait time rude staff.

I have been to this Dr several times now. My first appointment I waited well over an hour. Every appointment since then has been very very late. I made sure to book the first appointment of the day for my last 2 appointments so that I would be seen on time, and I still had to wait 20-30 minutes. This is unexcuseable. He also checks his phone during my sessions, which I find to be unprofessional and plain RUDE. The patient chairs are like 4 yards from his desk and you can barely hear him. Very unfriendly. I don't know why I kept going back.
