The doctor and his rude nasty looking wife can't be real doctors. They have been arrested and are drug dealers. If your looking for a prescription without any questions and you are a drug addict this is the doctor for you

He cares about his patients

I had been seeing dr Kaplan for almost 4yrs. Have had MRIs done on my back 3 times. Whenever he asked me how I'm doing, i always tell him about my pain. All he has ever said to me is "well you know you have a bad back". Never once told me what is wrong. 2 months ago his nurse (his wife) was going through everyones charts. When i went in his room she had my paper work. She told him, "you gotta take her off this and that". Next thing i over heard her telling him was "you need to do this so it looks like you did something". Well on my last visit i was cut off everything at once and she told the receptionist that that would be my last appointment. I had never turned in a dirty test or nothing. I have Med-cal, Athem River City. Was told a couple months ago that as of Dec 1st he wasn't going to be accepting the River City part. They had told me which one i'd have to change to. I'm glad i didn't because i got cut off seeing him anyway. All he has ever done is prescribe pain medication to me… and I'm sure that's all he ever did to other patients as well!!! I know he cut a whole lot of other patients off as well. All started when his wife started working with him. Who is she to say what he needs to do with his patients, she's no dr. So you end up getting cut off what ever meds you take and even b4 that there's hardly any pharmacies that will fill any prescriptions from him, no matter what it is...he's been red flaged. I talked to my lawyer just to see what was going on with his office. She told me, and he has lawsuits pending. That's why he cut patients off and pharmacies aren't talking his scripts. You end up getting addicted to pain meds without even realizing it until you no longer have them. Withdrawals are brutal.

I have been going to Dr.Paul R Kaplan for over 2 years. I have never tested dirty always taken my medicine and even when he tried to up my dosage or give me medicine that was stronger I always declined. I am so happy I always declined. Your wait time is usually 45min to 1 hour. He comes into the room and slams the door. He breathes really heavy as if he is trying to catch his breath or in pain it's really sad. He sits with his back to you so while you are talking to him his back is toward you. I find very odd. He has bad and good days. Mainly bad days. He does not like Donald Trump mentioned that too me many times and I really find that odd as I am here as a patient not to discuss our President. Also you must remember what you have to talk to him about while you are talking to him. The staff at the North-field location has given me other people information which I have reported I had someone address as well as social and birthday and phone number. It was really disturbing as I was… wondering did someone have my information in the middle of this I was told by a older African American lady who is really mean and didn't want to provide her information that the information they gave me was indeed my information she was argumentative as well when I showed her the paper she told me I was in violation of having someone else paper and how did I get it. I told her she gave it to me and she was really rude and I can only imagine felt stupid because she kept talking over me by the time I showed her the paper and told her she was wrong she never apologized and also told me I wouldn't be seen at the location anymore. It was really odd as I was treated as if I did something wrong and even told I would not be given my medication. This DR here will give you the medication but once they do not like you or you stand up you will get kicked out for no reason. I now go to another pain management and very happy I no longer go to this DR. (Dr. Kaplan) does not care about you health at all.

I've been seeing him for approximately 4yrs. He has his Moody days, but who doesn't?? The only problem is that he's been cutting a whole lot of people off all their meds in one day. My last visit he cut me off of 2 of them. I have 2 refills left on one (not the 1s he cut me off of) but can't find a pharmacy that excepting any scripts from him?? Also he changing his insurance plan that he'll be accepting. Over all though he's a good dr. But i think he should've been weaning us off our meds slowly instead of dropping them at once.

I rec'd a call from the dr. office to tell me the doctor is no longer taking work comp clients. After years of seeing him since 2005. Told me to call the work comp to get a different doctor . Just so wrong I need my meds.

Argumentative, Friendly (When he's in the mood), Treats patients like they are drug addicts, Conducts appointment with his back to you. I really like Dr. Kaplan, believe it or not. He's a sweet old guy, when you get him on a good day. But he's in as much pain as his patients are so not every visit is a good one. I like his directness, I like his staff. Not too crazy about the location (bad part of town). I've been a patient for almost 2 years now, I can complain or not, but I'll still be going back next month.

It seems to me that when Dr. Kaplan's initial recommendations don't work, he gets frustrated and loses interest in the patient. It seems as though he blames the patient for not getting better on the regimen he prescribes.
