Dr. Paul Tehwei Ku, MD

Dr. Ku left miscarrying patient in ER alone for hours at a time, made excuses to go out and find a nurse for assistance and did not return, put patient through numerous invasive and painful procedures without pain medications, did not explain lab and sonogram results and almost sent patient home who was bleeding excessively and in great pain. When family insisted on his calling the on call OB/GYN, he finally did so and quickly performed traumatic and invasive procedures before the specialist arrived. He failed to advise the patient and family of what was going on and what next steps needed to be and threatened to send patient home for 1 to 2 weeks to complete the miscarriage on her own. This is a very summarized version of a 6 hour long, horrible, painful treatment process that could have been done with compassion and more support for the patient and her family.
