Dr. Paul Augustine Kunkel, MD

I had laparoscopic gal bladder removal. It was outpatient - I was home in just a few hours. I had little to no post-surgical discomfort from the gas they use to fill your abdomen, and the incisions were small and healed quickly. I was back to work in less than 5 days. Very good experience.

Dr. Kunkel is a very knowledgeable and excellent surgeon and doctor. He is very considerate and caring and has an excellent bed-side manner. He never makes you feel rushed and always takes the time to be sure you understand and are comfortable w/the outcome of any visit to him. He actually followed up w/me personsally on a referral he made for me. Unheard of in this day and age. Through this referral I discovered he is also known as an excellent surgeon at Johns Hopkins Hospital as well. His staff is also excellent; very friendly, caring; accomodating; go above and beyond (thanks Deb!) and also never make you feel rushed. I would not go to any other surgeon than Dr. Kunkel.
