Dr. Paul Albert Lenz, MD

My daughter went in to VD&N clinic and Dr Lenz was the only Dr on staff that day. He ordered flu test. Results came in negative so since she had been vomiting too, he said “I’m just going to go with intestinal infection” and prescribed anti-nausea topical med. the next day, I took her to the ER where after extensive tests, she was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis, and could’ve been fatal had we gone with Dr Lenz’s diagnosis. We looked up the symptoms and she had every one of those symptoms listed for BActerial Meningitis. This could’ve been diagnosed by Dr Lenz if only he would’ve taken the time to order other tests.

I had never gone to Dr. Lenz I had heard that he was a very good doctor, I went the other day and yes I was very pleased with him, yes the office staff is not very friendly. I would recommend Dr. Lenz.

I went there to the day night clinic with high BP and staff was very rude. It was a few years ago when he moved office. I had good insurance but they only took care of folks on medicare and Medicaid... Had to find new Doctor, i was really in bad shape and near stroking out...

Referred me to a doc. that was not in my network, I didn't find out until I received a huge bill.. This doc. spends too much time talking about himself... He makes a huge deal if you gain 4-5 lbs. Always gives you the worst case senerio...like it could be cancer or it could be nothing.i would not recommend him!

He really should take a 5 year course in bedside manner! After several visits with him he became frustrated and said there was nothing wrong with me. Referred me to another doctor who he said was very knowledgable and wouldn't reccomend anyone else. This other dr was horrible and had many lawsuits filed against him. Finally went to MD Anderson and found out I had cancer and my doctors told me to never see Dr. Lenz again. 10 years in remission I decided to give him another try, and what do you know? He's still the same arrogant jerk he was before. No one should ever be treated the way he treats patients. So many other people have told me similar stories about him, and now he's at VDNC, I'm sure he's paying for his attitude now!

I wanted to be seen by an Anglo doctor. I knew Dr Lenz took patients on a first come first serve basis. We waited for over an hour and were finally seen by a nurse practitioner not Dr. Lenz. The nurse practitioner ordered an ultrasound but didn't specify the correct anatomical part on the ultrasound request and so the ultrasound technician wouldn't view the area of concern. When I went back a few days later for the nurse practitioner to tell me the results of the ultrasound, he went to lunch and left us waiting in an exam room for 90 minutes. Finally after repeatingly asking for assistance another nurse practitioner came in and referred us to a surgeon who we later discovered has had multiple malpractice suits filed against him! Don't waste your time here!

I have seen him 3 times. He listens and asks questions and takes blood tests etc to make the best call to help me.

He has no appointments so wait time can be really long (much more than an hour) but, when you do get in he takes his time talking and listening to you.Also, in this part of the ccountry it is very hard to find someone who understands English they may speak it but they don't understand it.
