Dr. Paul J Licata, DO

I am giving Dr. Licata a five star review. I was having a pulmonary problem and in the hospital and wasn’t even his patient but he got involved in my care and explained everything in terms I understood. He took plenty of time with me. His bedside manner was A+. He introduced himself as Paul even though he’s been working mostly in the ICU with Covid Patoents in bad shape. He made me feel much more at ease about my condition and answered all my questions. I have a pulmonary embolism cased by deep vein thrombosis and was told in the ER that I was critical and had several blood clots in lungs and a suspicious area resembling cancer. Dr Licata went over my CT scan and also said he had many radiologist check his work to make sure he was correct in saying I had one tiny blood clot in my artery in my lung but no cancer!! Overall my lungs looked great!! I’ve been thinking for years that I had Emphesema and COPD when I just have asthma.

Dr. Licata gave us a multidisciplinary view of our mom's overall condition that allowed us to get her the appropriate care in her final illness. He was caring, gentle, knowledgeable and compassionate. Honestly, I don't know how we would have figured out how to best care for Mom without him. He was such a blessing.

Talked to me being very pushy and belligerent for almost one hour. Did not call me by my proper name but called me lady over and over. Horrible experience.

I envy the reviewers who were allowed to see their doctor. My husband never laid eyes on him, only a technician of some kind. For that reason he will be looking elsewhere. If he had bothered to see his patient, we might have been able to rate him more than 1 star. We'll never know.

Dr. Licata was a very good doctor and very caring. He helped me through a very difficult time with my mom today.

Receptionist was literally the rudest woman I've ever encountered in my entire life. I will never recommend this office based on her alone. I was treated with no compassion or decency. Was spoken down to and belittled. Ridiculous to have even hired someone with that little respect for another human, let alone a patient of her office.

A very kind, caring, knowledgeable, and compassionate physician.
