Dr. Paul Timothy Lobur, MD

My neighbors raved about him and I was upset with my current physician. He was very good and helped me a lot. His office manager was fabulous. THat's refreshing. I've been to many offices in St. Clair and the staff are rude and or can't craft a sentence.

After being discouraged without anyone knowing what's going on with me I went back to Dr. Lobur. Saw him many years ago and had to leave because of insurance change. He was still great. Ran some tests and told me whats wrong. I started a new medicine and feel better already.

I used a Highmark directory to locate Dr. Lobur. I liked him a lot. He was patient with my long past medical history. He made some suggestions which I thought was a good way to go.

I recently came to Dr. Lobur as I was unhappy with my current physician. He answered all my questions and gave me direction on what to do next. His office manager was a big help.

I started seeing Dr. Lobur on a referral with UPMC phone line a year ago. I'm very pleased. He is smart and no nonsense which I like.

I am happy I met Dr. Lobur in 2000. He is a good man and is very reliable.

Dr. Lobur did not allow me to finish statements or questions, interrupting me with impatience and completing my question or statement incorrectly. He was very thorough, ordered a ton of tests and totally missed the admission chest xray that showed pneumonia in both lungs. I was discharged from hospital with the suggestion that I was intolerant to pain and had 'nothing of significance going on' and still complaining of chest pain, back pain, throat/neck pain. I continued to deteriorate and was seen in an urgent care less than a week post discharge and treated for bacterial pneumonia in both lungs. Almost a month later, and I am still battling bacterial pnuemonia in both lungs and being treated by a pulmonary doctor- something that could easily have been treated during the hospital stay since my ER chest xray showed bilateral infiltrates upon admission. He could be a great doctor-if he learned to listen to what his patients are saying-not what he THINKS they WILL say. He did not… follow up on many of the recommendations of several specialists he brought on board, in two cases did not even tell me what they wanted done and, in another case, flat out denied the need for the referral that one doc wanted to have made. I found out what had been ordered by the specialists during an appointment with my new primary care, as she went through all the hospital testing and recommendations. I was embarrassed by how many times I had to say "I had no idea- Dr. Lubor never said..." or "Yes, that was suggested, however Dr. Lubor said there was no need". One question that was muttered by my primary care was "So why did he ask these doctors to see you, if he was not going to act upon their suggestions?" Good question. He WAS my parents' primary care however, after seeing his behavior and hearing his bedside manner with me, they are seeking a different primary care. It is sad, since I think he could be a very good doctor. Perhaps it was a personality clash between us, but whatever the reason-he was not professional, kind, or- and most importantly- He was not accurate in his diagnosis and treatment.

He became my doctor during an emergency room visit and admission. He was smart and to the point. I was in St. Clair Hospital for 6 days and felt wonderful the day I went home. My wife and parents go to him now.

Dr. Paul Lobur has been taking care my mother and father for over fifteen years. I am truly grateful for having him as my parents physician. Scheduling for an appointment has always been easy along with refilling medications. He has always been very thorough and has always made the right choices for them. My parents feel very comfortable having Dr. Lobur as their doctor.

Dr Lobur has been my PCP for over 5 years. He is very thorough in his exams and has provided me with the care and attention I needed to address my issues. He is located at St Clair Hospital professional building, which is attached to St Clair Hospital. I respect his decisions and trust him with my health issues.
