Had hernia surgery. He was very skilled. He explained the procedure to me beforehand. Recovery was fast with minimal discomfort.

I've seen a LOT of doctors, and Dr. Loethen has the BEST disposition. He is also very skilled at stitches, most unnoticeable ones I've ever had! His personality and bedside manner are outstanding. He is caring, attentive, and he is thorough with his explanations. I like his front desk staff, too. I saw him at Lincoln Surgical in Shiloh, IL.

Dr. Loethen did an emergency colostomy on me which I am very grateful. He saved my life as far as I am concerned. He explained everything and made me feel completely at ease. I am planning on having it reversed in which I feel quite confident. He did however advise me to quit smoking if I want the surgery done. I have quit and already feel better. He has your best interest at heart. Recommend him highly!

I was very impressed with how my 1st visit went. Everyone was warm and friendly. My wait time eas minimal and all questions were answered.

I saw Dr. Loethen for a growth on face. He cut it off and took care of everything.

After several attempts , and many surgeries on my left foot, I had no choice but to have my lower leg amputated, Dr. Loethen was absolutely great , explained everything and answered any and every question that I had. One thing he said was he wanted me happy and healthy. And after 8 years that's what I am. Great surgeon!

This man examined me and because I smoke told me to take a shower and when I come back not to have smoked. He is paid for a medical opinion not personal. Talk about a jerk. I'm having tests done but hope to find a different dr who can get me in. I guess the fact he's a jerk is why you can get in so easy. The stars I gave are not for him but the other staff.

Dr. Loethen did some light surgery on my hand, and it went pretty well, the final outcome did not even leave a scar.

My friend had hernia repair by Dr. Loethen, and was impressed by his knowledge and skill. Dr. Loethen explained things thoroughly, and had a friendly demeanor. I recommend him as a surgeon.
