Dr. Paul Phillip Lowe, MD

I have been to a few Psychiatrists over the years and honestly, Dr. Lowe has been my favorite. He is thorough and really listens before just writing a prescription. He is extremely softspoken and easy to talk to. I would recommend him to any of my family members.

Kept cutting me off would not let me finish a sentence. Would not recommend him to my worst enemy.

Dr. Lowe is incredibly rude. I was trying to explain my relationship with my father and how my father thinks of me and before I can even finish my sentence or my thought he cuts me off in defense of my father before I could tell him why. I was then trying to tell him about the physical fights my father started with me when he kept interrupting me to keep on joking about some pirate joke he was joking about earlier. He even said "sorry this isn't a laughing matter" with a big grin and smile on his face like he knew what he was doing. He even told me the way I talk about my father is the way his son talks about him. My father and I have a deep seeded hatred for each other so I don't see how it was appropriate in the least to tell me that(at that point he had known about thr fights and other things).Sounds like he is biased because of his own family issues. I left his office the first day and completely broke down. I am in such a bad place in my life and I was using the last energy I had… to get help. I'm just wasting away now waiting g for the courage to do myself in.

I have never had such an unpleasant experience with a health professional before. I was completely taken aback by his rudeness, so much so, that I had to walk out of his office.

It's hard to find a doctor who really cares, takes 'true' time to figure out what is going on... that just seems the way of it nowadays in the medical field. I would say to anyone searching for a psychiatrist to give him a shot. Not only will he take the time to find a solution to your situation but he will listen to what you feel might be wrong. I know that if all physicians would just listen to a patient for 5 measly minutes when they first go into their office, they would most likely diagnose the correct illness/problem immediately. I give Dr. Lowe a five star all the way down.

xcellent physician. he has a great grasp when it comes to children and adults. he is a excellent psychiatrist who understands the medications well as well as he has an empathic demeanor

and this man is one. He is the best Doctor I have seen in years. He has helped me through a rough stage in my life, and if you communicate honestly with him and give his methods time to work, he will help you tremendously. Paul has been practicing for 27 years, he has lived in South Carolina for the past 14 but has previously worked in Kansas, Chicago, Indiana, and West Virginia.

Dr. Lowe is very kind, and I found him to be a very good listener. He has a good sense of humor, and is able to put you at ease. I did not find him to be egotistical as a previous patient stated. He seems to care about his clients.

Dr. Lowe is not a good listener. His ego gets in the way of his ability to listen.If you want a doctor who really listens this is not a doctor you want.

Why he works for the VA I do not know. The VA hampers his ability to perform. The mess up his appts, interfear with his treament program. HE REALLY CARES ABOUT HIS PT'S. !!!! He has lef the VA and back in private practice. ONE GREAT SHRINK!!!... BLOW RANKS ARE A REFECTION OF THE VA NOT HIM!!!!!
