Dr Paul Magarelli

I feel enough time has passed that I can write this review with a level head and not the extreme amount of disgust and devastation that I felt back in early 2014 when I went through IVF with Dr. Magarelli. We met with Dr. Magarelli who immediately pushed us into IVF without doing any testing on either myself or my ex-husband. We were told if we made a decision that day we could get the entire process done for around $8K which was significantly cheaper than anywhere else we were looking (FYI.... cheaper is NOT better in the medical field). We went ahead and did the IVF process, and during the egg retrieval I had 28 eggs retrieved, 12 of which were good for fertilization. We were very excited, until Dr. Magarelli called me at work, and asked me if I was available to talk. I told him I was at work and he blurted out that none of my eggs took and that I needed to set up an appointment to come talk. I feel that this should have been told to my husband and I in person rather than in a 5… minute phone call over the phone. Then we went into the office and he told me that my eggs were bad and the only way I would have children was with an egg donor. I was devastated. Not to mention they still charged me the entire $8K even though part of that package was for the actual egg transfer. When I brought this up to the staff they just said "sorry this was a package deal". Unbelievable. Anyway.... this, amongst other things, created an incredible hardship on my ex-husband and I, and we got a divorce. After some time passed I met my current husband and we were pregnant in 6 months. You can imagine my surprise to discover that I got pregnant without even trying. Not to mention we had another pregnancy in 2018. TWO NATURAL PREGNANCIES. Long story short (not really), the person who had the problem was my ex-husband. I feel like I should get a refund due to the devastating mis-information that I was given that my eggs were bad and I would NEVER get pregnant, and the lack of testing, but who are we kidding... Dr. Magarelli does not care and it will never happen. I hope that this review will help other couples who are already in an emotional situation, avoid the biggest mistake of their lives, which is giving this guy a chance.

The support staff and nurses were welcoming, kind and thorough, but Dr Magarelli was extremely arrogant and condescending. He seemed to suggest that I was making up a diagnosis and I had to repeat myself on several occasions while he ignored my statements and repeated his preconceptions. Mental health is a huge part of health and his way of interaction is damaging.

Dr. Mag understood my dream of becoming a mother and he, Dr. Walinsky and Dr. Hayes (as well as the entire clinical and admin staff) did everything they could to help me understand the entire process. Through their hard work, care and honest approach, the staff at HQA have helped me achieve my dream of becoming a mother and I cannot thank them enough!

I’m starting IVF today and thus far I feel very confident with this staff. I’ve been treated very well and have faith that the treatment will go well due to how knowledgeable everyone seems. Fingers crossed!

My wife and I couldn’t believe how affordable Dr. Magarelli’s treatment was. We figured we would be getting “less” because of the cost, but that was certainly not the case. My wife and I were treated wonderfully and received top-notch assistance. We’re awaiting our results, but so far so good!

Dr. Magarelli is the best in Colorado. My husband and I have had a wonderful experience working with Dr. Magarelli and his staff during our cycle. This staff is friendly, professional and display great knowledge. Dr. Magarelli is extremely knowledgeable, confident, amicable, and cares about his patients.

For my husband and I, understanding the details of the IVF process was challenging. We didn't know that there was so much that went into this. I got very confused after trying to do my own research. Dr. Magarelli made it make sense and outlined an easy to follow plan for us. That's what I appreciated most.

I came across a fertility fair on Google about a year and a half ago, and I signed up for it hoping for the best. The fertility fair offered free IVF for the winner. About an hour after the fertility fair was over I received a call from HQA Fertility Center’s staff to tell me the good news that I had been chosen as a winner. My husband and I couldn’t believe what we just had heard. Our journey had begun. My husband and I made the decision to travel to Colorado Springs from Denver to start the process. Our first appointment started with a consultation with Dr. Magarelli who is a very friendly and enthusiastic person. He made us feel that we had a chance for conception after 6 years of trying to conceive! We left his office ready to commence this incredible journey. The following appointments were never a disappointment – all the staff has been very supportive and friendly. HQA fertility offers an online portal that is very helpful and useful. Nurses and staff are very prompt in… responding to your questions or concerns. Although everyone at HQA Fertility makes you feel that we will get pregnant, they also explain that my body is in control of everything. We are happy to announce that after the hard work from the staff, my husband and I are 6 weeks and 1 day pregnant with a baby girl!
