Dr. Paul Kelly Marcom, MD

Dr. Marcom took great care of me starting in 2007 and he provided a successful treatment plan do me. I was diagnosed with early stage Her -2 positive breast cancer at 34 years old. I am almost 11 years Cancer free and I highly recommend him as an oncologist.

has poor bedside manner. and forgetful wih treatments. looks like he is just rushing to the next patient

After several visits I had the nerve to complain because I was having to wait over an hour (sometimes two hours) past my appt time each visit. After all I was a cancer patient driving 2.5 hours to my appt and having a 2.5 hour drive home. When I complained to the front desk staff his PA (Dana I believe is her name) was very rude to me and complained about having to work late because they have so many patients. ,I as a cancer patient, wish that all I had to comlplain about was working late. Might I suggest Dana get a job in a facility where she is not dealing with patients, hence she wont have to hear their complaints or work late to see them. I am sure there are many research jobs available where she can leave at five o'clock on the dot every day. And you wont have to listen to patients who have the audacity to speak thier mind.

Paul Kelly acted clueless most of the time and while he is in Duke 9300's he seems to be more concern with working on other projects rather than caring for his patients. He is fairly new to the area he is working in, not sure if he was promoted. But, from talking with other professionals that knows him they seem to think he was demoted. There are quiet a few choice remarks about him on the internet as well about his compassion for patients.
