He is a Horrible Dr. I finally went to the ER after days of shortness of breath. Got in, he came in and said whats going on. I told him. He said umm humm, umm humm. Left the room , I never saw him again. They ran 2 test. I laid in the bed for 6 hours , Mcguire left for the day another of what I'm assuming was a intern Dr. came in and said , I don't know... Everything looked fine and We don't know. Sorry. I said no idea at all of what could be going on. He said " I don't know" I said OK. He said if it gets worse come back, i said oh if i die come back. OK... The nurse finally had to explain to me what they checked for and they diagnosed me with VIRAL SYNDROME ...WHAT I don't have a cold .... I hope he doesn't expect to be paid

Dr. McGuire provided great and compassionate care during my husband's recent stroke. My Husband had abrupt onset of weakness on his right side of his entire body and I took him to the Hospital emergency department. At the ER triage area, he was immediately examined by Dr. McGuire and then directed staff to take taking him directly to the CT scanner where he was diagnosed with stroke. Dr. McGuire also notified neurology and had my husband started on life saving medications to treat his stroke, that eventual led to full recovery. Dr. McGuire was great about keeping me inform of everything and providing calm and re-assurance throughout the entire stressful event. I can not say enough good things about Dr. McGuire's care. I saw Dr Mcguire at clemmons er recently. He was nothing but honest and thorough. He took care of my problem and treated me with respect. I'm not so sure about the other reviews but I have nothing but praise for him!

This man should not be allowed to practice any kind of medicine. I went in with severe vomiting and stomach pain. I have had c - diff several times and thought I had it again. The last time I nearly died with it.i told him I couldn't take the vomiting another day and had not eaten or drank in dats. He had the nerve to say, well at least you should just be glad you don't have cancer! I told him I was a colon cancer survivor of 3 years. He then said oh.. well you don't have it now. And asked what I wanted him to do. I said I did not know but I am very sick. He answered that by saying if I wanted to poop in a bucket the he guessed he would have to look at it. What doctor acts this way? I am 57 years old and disabled, I should not have been treated this way. I am on oxygen, have no immune system and countless other disease. I cannot believe he gets away with this. I am filing as many complaints as I have to so that nobody has to go threw his abuse.

I went into the ER at Kernersville medical center due to a kidney stone. I have chronic stone disease, so I have been there often in the night or weekends. I have never had anything but great doctors and great experiences. However this "doctor" was the most disrespectful and rude man I have ever felt with. He insulted me and asked reated me like garbage. He asked personal and financial questions and attacked me for my answers. He even asked the nurse to pull my bills from previous visits to show me that I did not have the right to be coming to a hospital so often and taking up his time. My scan showed a 6 mm stone which he said I could not pass and would need surgery. He released me and said that this pain would be a lesson to me to get the stones taken care of at a urologist. I tried to explain why I haven't, due to losing my job because of frequent stones. He would not let me sleek and refused to admit me for surgery or give pain medication to get me threw monday. I told him… what doctors had done in past and what worked for me. He then began to raise his voice and twist my words to sound as though I was seeking drugs. I was unable to pass any urine also, and he simply said it was my own fault. I later ended up in Forsyth hospital at the suggestion of the on call nurse so that they could drain my urine and get properly treated to get me threw to an appointment on Monday with a urologist. This man was simply disgusting and nasty to patients and I have filed a complaint and intend to see this threw until he can learn some lessons of his own. Giving this man 1 star is way to many, as he is a zero.

My son attempted suicide and was taken to the hospital in an ambulance. I followed in my car. I asked to go back to see my son and was told I had to wait in the waiting room until a nurse told me I could go back. A security police officer was sitting at the entrance back to where the patients were. He told me to go sit down. Crying, I asked if somebody could please let my son know I was there, so he knew somebody cared. The security guard, again told me to go sit down in the waiting room - he showed a total lack of compassion. A nice lady sitting at the desk, immediately picked up the phone and called to the back and asked them to relay the message to my son. I went to the waiting room and waited over an hour to see my son. When I went back to see him he asked me where had I been and why didn't I come to see him. I told him they wouldn't let me until now. Then, my son told me he was in pain-which he has been suffering with for 3 years. I asked to talk to whoever was taking care of him.… A nurse came to speak to me and while I was speaking to her, Dr. McGuire came up and I asked him if I could speak to him for a few minutes. He let me speak for about one minute and in the middle of my sentence, he told me to hurry up that he had other patients to see. The emergency room was quiet, no obvious emergencies were occuring. By now my son had become very anxious, witnessing the doctor treating me with disrespect and not letting me discuss my son's physical and mental problems. My son called the dr. a name (cuss word). He has not received proper care in this state for the past 3 years when the pain began. Since he is Bi-polar, doctors have been reluctant to give him adequate medication for his condition, of which not one of the 3 doctors that he has seen, has ever tested him for. From what I understand there is an epidemic of pain medication abuse in this city, so understandably, doctors were just being careful, not to take a chance-they thought they were doing the right thing. I understand this. But, just because my son is Bi-polar that doesn't mean that his mental illness is his only problem. He suffers on a daily basis of pain below the waist. It goes into his rectum, his testicles and the lower half of his body is always in pain. A primary care doctor diagnosed him with post herpetic neuralgia, a condition due to HSV 2 a/k/a genital herpes. A girlfriend of 2 1/2 years, called him up after they broke up for about 3 months to tell him that she had had sex with someone while she was dating my son who called her to report that his dr. diagnosed him with herpes and the dr. told him to call any persons he had been with to tell them to get tested. My son told her that he did not have any symptoms. Nine months later, my son started to have these terrible pain problems in the lower half of his extremeties. The first primary care dr. treated him with a very low, and inadequate dose of a non-narcotic pain medicine. After about 6 months of suffering, we changed doctors. The new doctor saw him during an outbreak and she gave him a much stronger dose of the same medication, and it was an extended release type. This helped my son greatly, compared to the lighter dose. But, on some days the medication was not enough. My son has attempted suicide 3 times in the past 3 years, due to this health problem. This time, when I went back to see him, he was complaining of pain. The nurse said she could not give him anything since he had taken an overdose of pills. This is understandable. So, I asked if he could have a couple of pillows because his back was hurting him in the bed. It was the same pain he always has to deal with. This is when the doctor came up and started to talk to me, but cut-me off after only one minute of me explaining the "big picture" and complexity of his problem. When my son called the dr. a name for being mean to me, the dr. told me to leave the emergency room. I asked to speak to another hospitalist that works there and who had treated me before when I was hospitalized for Multiple Sclerosis. I was told that Dr. Parson's was not there, but to go sit in a room and that a nurse named Martha would come to talk to me. I asked why would a nurse talk to me, when I wanted to discuss a doctor's lack of compassion. I was told that they were following the chain of command. So, a nurse led me to a waiting room to wait until Martha arrived. The next thing that happened is 3 police officers came into the room and told me that the I had to leave the hospital immediately. I told them that I was told to sit and wait to speak to Martha. They said that Dr. McGuire told them that he asked me to leave the hospital and that if I didn't leave at once that they were going to arrest me and take me to jail for trespassing. I left the hospital immediately but I will work to make sure that Dr. McGuire learns that as a doctor he is working in a House of Healing. He has worse than zero bedside manner, in fact, he hurts more than he helps, patients. This was our experience.

I was taken to the ER in Eden, NC, at Moorehead Hospital with chest pain. After running several tests, this "doctor" proceeded to insult and disrespect me in several ways. He asked me if I was "crazy", if I had ever been told that I had mental issues, and also asked personal questions, and insulted me for my answers. My personal life had no business being addressed in this situation, and this man's demeanor was VERY unprofessional. I am intending on filing a complaint with the hospital, as well as seeking legal advice from an attorney. I WOULD NOT recommend that ANYONE be seen or treated by this individual.
