Dr. Paul Miller, MD

I'm not going to give the exact year. Let's just say pre-1982. People warned me about him. They were saying the same things back then. But I didn't listen...I should have. I was the loser.

I am shocked about some of these posts. I have been seeing this great doctor form many years and he has helped talk me through a lot of tough times. I would refer anyone to him and have done so. These people should stop tarnishing this mans good name.

If a NY Detective or the DEA reads this....investigate this "Doctor". Build a case against him. Miller has found a perfect loop hole.......cater to addicts with money. Who's fault is it? The "Doctor" or the addict? Both I would say. A great doctor does right by his patients even when they are doing wrong to themselves. It's only a matter of time before this mans greed destroys a family. Get it?

So I'm waiting in the waiting room for over 35 minutes, I peek to see if he's with someone. NO..He's just there sitting with his eyes closed. ARE YOU SERIOUS?!? Come on man! Finally he sees me for the first initial consult, umm $135. He gives me 2 scripts with zero refills. You can never get in touch with him, you cant leave a messages. Its hit of miss to get in touch with him.

It is scary how many people are writing things I too saw in Miller many many years ago. I have since taken responsibility for my actions and lead a good sober life now..... If you are not an addict...then yes he is a nice man...no doubt....but once he sees you are hooked he makes no offer to help you clean up. These days ANYONE can get addicted to pills and boy does Miller profit. He clearly saw I was abusing Xanax(my fault) but took no actions to help me clean up. I was hooked and he knew it. If Miller has had hardships or troubles in his life....I'm truly sorry for that but you must go to a psychiatrist who will do right by you EVEN when you are not doing right by yourself. Parents and patients stay away from this "Doctor".

His office answer machine is unreliable and sends him an email and it seems they all don't get received. He's quite lax about follow-ups and call-backs -- which is alarming since psyc patients should be able to get to talk to their doctor promptly. When one gets in to see him, he spends time but getting in to see him was a problem. I even had an appointment and found the door locked and no call to say he was running late. The fee is $400 a visit out-of-pocket.
