Dr Mitchell is typically our secondary doctor. anytime my kids are sick their pedi seems to be busy, but he has a ton of availability. I have an allergy to Amox. My daughter has had hives 3x which appear 10 days after starting Amox. He was extremely rude and told me that’s not possible. My 7mo got an ear infection and we ended up with an appoint with him. I told him I didn’t want her on Amox just cause of family history. We talked about other options. I pay for the rx at the pharmacy.... he prescribed Amox anyway. Figuring whatever I just gave it to her anyway. She started vomiting 2 hrs after first dose. I called - he said it’s not possible and unrelated. My pharmacist said to tell him I want it changed. I called NPCMC back requesting a change, the nurse said she would take care of it and have him call over a new RX. Needless to say they closed and didn’t call one over. I get a call the next day..”Dr Mitchell says it’s unrelated and he isn’t going to change her medication - he wants… her to continue to take it” Never again will I see Dr Mitchell.

I think this doctor needs a doctor. He's always nervous, and he has the rapid speech of someone on stimulants. Last time we saw him he wasn't so nice to my kid either, so we won't be seeing him again. Lucky he has almost no wait time, since he doesn't seem to have many patients.

He is nice, but gives his parenting advice instead of medical. He is not pro extended breastfeeding and actually told me to stop cold turkey at 12 months. My son had an allergic reaction and he blew me off when asking for allergy testing.
