14 years ago I was diagnosed with MS. I had seen a different neurologist in the hospital who made me feel like my life as I knew it was over. I left the hospital in tears thinking that I would never be the same. I went to see Dr. Muscat for a second opinion and he was amazing! The thing I remember most that he said to me at my first visit was "most people die with MS NOT from MS". He gave me hope that my life would go on (maybe with a few changes and some hiccups) but never the less go on! I left his office with tears of joy and the determination that I was going to fight this awful disease and that it wasn't going to beat me. I was going to conquer it! I had a husband and 3 children that I wanted to enjoy. 14 years later I am still fighting this disease and I am still winning! I owe it ALL to Dr. Muscat! He has been by my side every step of the way and I truly trust his opinion on every suggestion he gives me. He has made an incredible difference in my life!

He , what I consider important for a doctor, listens and accepts my input about my MS. He is also knowledgeable and [resents in such a way for me to understand. If I have questions, he answers them.

I was in for lesions on my brain and he remembered that I had Botox done a couple of times for my chronic migraines and that I had a really bad back so during our conversation he said that I peaked his interest about my back so he took me to his office and looked over my past mris and was astounded by how bad my back really is for as young as I am. It felt good to hear that validation for a second time in 15 years! He said,”Your poor back! How did it get like this? You’re so young!” He was very thorough. He wasn’t satisfied with the CTScan of my brain so he ordered an mri. Thankfully I had one on file to compare it to! I’m waiting to get the mri done. I’m waiting to see if he will take me as a pain patient,one can hope and pray! He was kind, considerate and thorough!
