When it comes to the role of surgery, our decisions mostly center on treating a particular problem. What is the appropriate balance of risk and benefit? It's extremely important to me that patients understand as much as possible about any decision they make and how that decision reflects their individual goals. Honesty about the limits of surgical treatment is vital.I have special expertise in brain and spinal tumors, epilepsy/seizure disorders and movement disorders.I endeavor to provide the most advanced care required for a patient's problem and include the patient as an equal partner in all decisions, sharing as much information as possible. The patient's best interest is what matters most.
