Dr. Paul Aaron Possick, MD

Love the man. Want him as my great-grandfather, but not as my doctor. I'm sure he was great earlier in his 50+ year career and while helping the troops in the Revolutionary War, but now I want someone younger.

Yearly checkup very short

Dr. Possick is more careful and more knowledgeable than other dermatologists I have used.

Dr. Possick is wonderful, caring and knows his stuff. He has over 40 years of experience. My whole family sees him for a variety of problems. I have seen him for acne and yearly skin checks - skin spots removed for checking, my husband has seen him for moles, discolorations, etc and my son sees him for exema. He is wonderful with it all and I would not see anyone else.

Dr. Possick appears to be one hundred years old (well, not really...) and there's no skin condition he hasn't dealt with. He has been most helpful and upfront (even when I didn't like what I was hearing) about my psoriasis. He is up-to-date on the latest treatments and their effectiveness and together we are managing my condition very well. The main problem is the endless wait...well over 45 minutes on most days. And there is never an apology or explanation from the staff. Westwood Dermatology is pretty infamous for the rundown offices and interminable waits.

On my first visit it took me close to 2 hrs to see Dr. Possick, and when I got to finally see him, I wasn't very impressed. If you're dealing with adult acne - Possick is not your guy. He didn't even examine my face! He just gave me a bleaching cream and told me "Accutane will be the only thing that works for you." He seemed annoyed after I refused to pill pop antibiotics & Accutane. When I left the office I felt as if he couldn't care less about fixing my problem.
