Dr. Paul Arthur Pyka, DO

I had not been seen by a Doctor in a long time. I was given an app. with Dr.Pyka by chance.I had a lot of anxiety going in and once in the room i could barely handle the feeling of running out of there. When Dr. Pyka came in and introduced himself and told me a little about himself.By the time my exam came i was really comfortable and relaxed. He was just a very caring Dr. and genuine. He sent me for some bloodwork just to check my well being.I have not had my follow up app yet but am not at all nervous and look forward to my results.I felt like i was in good hands..That means alot to me.

I WORK IN A DOCTOR OFFICE CLINIC AND I HAVE NEVER SEEN IN MY YEARS OF WORK EXPERIENCE A PLACE LIKE THIS ONE,THE OFFICE IS NEVER ABLE TO MAKE AN URGENT APPOINTMENT TO SEE THE DOCTOR WHEN U NEED IT. I GUESS THIS IS WHY HE HAS A 3 STAR RATE, HE MAY BE CARING ONLY ABOUT THE MONEY.I WAITTED FOR MY APPOINTMET FOR 2 WEEKS AND FINALY WHEN I WAS 25 MINUT TO GET AT THE OFFICE AND I WAS RANNING 10 MIN LATE BECAUSE TRAFFIC. THE RECEPTIONIST TOLD ME"OH WE HAVE TO RESCHEDULE BECAUSE HE IS LEAVING AT 10:30.. I WAS LIKE, ARE YOO KIDDING ME ? WHAT DOCTOR WORKS ONLY 3 HOURS IN THE MORNING?I AM VERY GLAD I AM NOT COMING TO SEE HIM, I PREFER TO LOOK FOR ANOTHER DOCTOR WHO IS ABLE TO HELP ME WITH MY NEEDS.HERE WHERE I WORK WE DONT TREAT PATIENTS LIKE THAT.

DR. PYKA WAS THERE TO BRING ME INTO THE WORLD FOR MY MOTHER AND WAS ALSO THERE FOR MY MY SON WHEN I HAD HIM. I WOULD TELL ANYONE TO GO TO HIM IF I WAS EVER ASKED FOR AN OPINION FOR A GOOD DOCTOR...

had to see Pyka as my other doctor was out of town...really wish I would not have seen him and just waited. Was forced to schedule a unneeded csection..was told my baby was at least ten pounds if not more...out came a little 6lb 11oz baby boy..far from ten pounds!

He seemed to brush off my early complaints of possible pre-eclampsia with my first child. At birth, I presented with severe pre-eclampsia and it made me wonder how well he paid attention to me. In addition, I did not feel educated or informed about my conditions. I did not know I ever had pre-eclampsia until I received my medical records. I did not want a C-section and I felt like it may not have been necessary. Every time I had an appointment with him, I felt very rushed and often felt brushed off. He seemed to have no time for patients and his nurses were intimidating so I often felt scared to ask questions. If you are having a baby, then this is the worst doctor to be with.

Dr. Pyka was my doctor when I had a miscarraige. As soon as he discovered something didn't seem right he was upfront about the situation but remained hopeful at the same time. He was very caring when I miscarried and performed my D&C. Two months after I was pregnant again and he was my doctor for a sucessfull prenancy. He performed my c-section and I was amazed at his technique. He didn't have to cut through my muscles. My recovery was extremely speedy and my scar perfectly straight and small. I will be going back to him when we have more children.

I was seeing this doctor, for my pregnancy, I lost one baby at 36 weeks so my stress level is already up and I didn't find Dr. Pyka as concerned as I felt he should be. At one appt he looked at my charts after I had voiced a concern and he said "well you can do what ever you want, you have only lost one". He just isn't the doctor for me. The staff is very nice and my wait time has never been long.

It kills me that I moved and will no longer have him as a doctor. He was my doctor for 20 years and since I moved I haven't been able to find a doctor that holds a candle to him, let alone makes me feels as comfortable on my visits.
