Dr. Paul Gardner Ronco, MD

Dr Ronco retired, the end of last year. He was The best PCP that anyone could ask for. He was thorough, professional, respectful, he always took the time to cover all of my concerns. I am sure I was a handful at times, but he took great care of me for nearly 6 years, after my previous PCP retired, and also cared for several others in my family. He was a very knowledgeable doctor, resolved medical issues that no other doctor had ever picked up on. I had a tumor on one of my adrenal glands that had been causing my blood pressure to be very high from the age of 31. Every doctor always told me that my high blood pressure was hereditary. My weight was good, my diet was good, regular exercise… He said he would have questioned my blood pressure from the get go, if he had been my doctor in those earlier years. He set the wheels in motion and I Had my adrenal gland taken out several months later, when I was 60. My blood pressure has been normal ever since. That was 5.5 years ago.. Before that,… my bp was very high, even though I was taking 4 blood pressure meds, max doses of 3 of them. He saved my life! He quickly set me up with all the right specialists, to manage the testing and, preparations and surgery. My previous PCP took care of my health needs for probably over 20 years and she was great too. With the exception of a couple of people who work in the Northern Light Husson Internal Medicine office where Dr Ronco worked, I have had mostly negative experiences, since he has been gone. He retired in October, but he has been out, very sick since April or May, so a year ago. I have had several incompetent providers since then. Plus, after Dr Ronco retired in October, it took them 7 months to give me another PCP. My new PCP had no availability for a badly abscessed lip that I have been struggling with for a month now. In order to establish an appt with my new doctor, I had to book first availability 2 months in advance for overdue issues. Dr Ronco worked very hard and long hours. He never let that effect the quality of his work, or his attitude. I miss his wisdom so much and feeling discouraged that I will not find another provider that will really care about my needs. The doctor working with me on this abscess right now does not listen, one of those doctors that acts like the patient has no right to say anything about their own healthcare and the patient knows nothing about their own bodies. He can be nice but has talked down to me and ignored what I say, simply because I have the nerve to advocate for myself and how dare I say anything when he has the education. Dr Ronco and my PCP before him both believed that the patient most often knows their own body better than anyone else does and that the patients input is very important in establishing how to address their medical needs. I wish Dr Ronco the best in his retirement. He certainly deserves it! Top notch Doctor and human being <3

I have been a patient of Dr Ronco's for a few years, he is a fantastic Doctor however its nearly impossible to get through to his office, if i didn't have a full time job it would be easier to stop in the office to make contact then call. You get re directed to internal medicine answering service to which they have to page the Doctor's office with your message. then you wait a few days before they contact you. I am not sure what the issue is and hope someday the problem will be fixed.

Dr. Ronco is a caring, well-informed physician. He knows who you are, and seems to have reviewed your medical record just before walking in to the examining room. The profession needs more practitioners like this guy.

I have been a patient of Dr Ronco for nearly a decade. He is friendly and courtious. I wouldnt trade doctors unless I absolutely had to.

Best PCP I've ever had...
