Dr. Paul David Rothwell, MD

Was referred to my primary doctor by my Cardiologist for immediate help getting my blood pressure down due to hypertension and stress. I went in with 180/102 blood pressure and was basically given the back seat and sent out the door with an expensive antidepresent and nothing for immediate hypertensive event. Felt like I was sent out the door to die. Most lousy service I’ve ever had. The reputable Cardiologist at Integris Hospital was upset that nothing was done. A waist of an appointment. The medication was denied as it would not help me immediately. Do not visit Gilbert Medical Center

I have been going to Dr Paul since 1982. Now my grown children take their families there too. Best Doc EVER!!! ??

Dr Rothwell treats in a holistic manner and addresses concerns with results when other doctors have overlooked the problem. We have recently moved out of state but continue to come back to him for our general care. The PA's in his office are also very knowledgeable and we highly recommend them as well.

Dr Rothwell has a larger patient base then he can effectively manage; although, he has been an excellent physician for many years. His high turnover of office help creates a very poorly managed office with employees who do not know the correct fax number for sending prescriptions and prior authorizations to pharmacies managing the patients insurance. The office help are so incompetent that when given the correct phone number for resolving a problem they will not make the phone call. The help do have time for answering repeated calls why the are not doing their job and also spend plenty of time visiting among themselves.

They are grossly negligent in their scheduling and timing with absolutely zero respect for your time, needs or appointment integrity. You will wait for a ridiculous amount of time for the Dr., every single time, without exception. This will be the case regardless of whether you are the very first appointment of the day (multiple times he has been more than a half hour late to meet us, despite us being his first patient in the am), and there will be no apologies or explanations, just an egotistical lack of care or concern whatsoever for your time and schedule. They will also cancel appointments on you AFTER you show up, and then tell you that they won't be rescheduling you for at least a couple weeks, and again they will do so with smug indifference to the time they have wasted of yours… and with a lack of integrity that is shameful. From the embarrassingly abhorrent lack of client care and service, to the 30 second Dr. visit where he asks you virtually no questions and then leaves the room after scribbling on your sheet, never to return, but only to charge you exorbitantly higher amounts than any other Dr. In the entire state, for tests they will run and then never discuss with you (or ask you to come back, but cancel your appointment when you do), do yourself and your family a favor and dont just walk, but RUN from this clinic and staff. Their disrespectful, fraudulent disregard for your needs will only cost you prodigious amounts of your time that they will waste and money that you will spend for no meaningful follow-up and a complete absence of care for your needs

This office staff is by far the worse I have every had to deal with. The front lady in his office area is just awful. She is hatefull over the phone and gets upset when you do not take the appointment she wants to give you. Dr, Rothwell has great manners and worked with me to get my hormones on the roll. I have left him because of his secetary.

I need to share my opinion about the STAFF only!!! I have recently left the Dr. beacause of his front desk lady... Dr Rothwell is a wonderful physician and I love him dearly, but had to make the decision to go elsewhere.... so... unfornutate but his girl Christie is very rude and has a very bad tone...so sorry to leave..I do know I am not the only one who is unhappy with the staff....

This doctor is overated and overbooked. He and his staff have no regard for their patients. You can easily and routinely waste 2 hours of your life waiting to see this doctor. Staff does not call when your test results finally come in. This doctor does not know how to diagnose and treat hypothyroid disorders. His whole operation moves in super slow motion. Going to this doctor is a waste of time and money.

Dr. Rothwell looks to treat the cause of illness rather than just the symptoms. He is dedicated to health, not wealth. Dr. Rothwell looks for natural ways to balance the health of your body and not just synthetic drugs. On the other hand, his office staff is nothing short of RUDE. They make you feel like you have done something wrong or like you are stupid if you call with questions. They will not let you speak to Dr. Rothwell and they will not take a message for him. I have overheard them being rude to elderly patients, talking down to them like they are children. The nurse upset my daughter at our last visit just by the way the nurse was treating another patient. The nurses act as if they are NOT there to help. We are considering looking for a new physician because of the nursing staff even though we have full confidence in Dr. Rothwell.

Would recommend him highly! Perhaps could spend 5-10 minutes more per patient; but he does a complete and thorough job if you tell him the problem and symptoms.
