Dr. Paul Sarfan Salkin, MD

I was taken late—often by half an hour—for every appointment that I ever had with him. Concomitantly, every session was interrupted by telephone calls, some of which were clearly personal. When he worked, however, his observations and comments were on target and, in the long run, proved to be helpful. My verdict: half a loaf was better than none, for which the session fee should have been half the rate charged.

Dr. Salkin is an alchemist... He knows how to find the right combination of drugs for each patient.

The absolute worst. Consistently overbooks appointments to the point where waiting over an hour is the norm. Then he is a babbler and doesn't really come off as adding any insight whatsoever. Would give 0 stars if that was possible.

Consulted with Dr. Salkin for 20 years. He's an outstanding psychiatrist & I profited enormously from his treatment. Felt as if I lost my "best friend" when I moved to FL 20 years ago. He was always on time & while he very occasionally accepted phone calls from other patients, I always felt I had his full attention & support. I would recommend him highly.

Terrible psychiatrist. Nothing more than a drug pusher.

Paul Salkin is a genuine old school Physician. Yes he is a little disorganized, yes you will wait a little, but he is worth the wait. He genuinely cares about his patients. He listens attentively and forms very good diagnosis. He is a magnificent human being. He doesn't have a secretary, but the last one was a kook and caused trouble for his clients. I would recommend Doc Salkin to anyone who likes people and cares about people. It is very difficult to find a doctor with so much humanity. God Bless Doc Salkin!

It's my first time talking with a psychiatrist. I was the next one in line so I saw the Dr. Salkin right away. He listened to me very carefully and I felt so relieved to have someone really understand what I was going through. I suffer from general anxiety disorder and he gave me medication and told me to meet up with him again next week. I'm relieved that I have a doctor that I can trust and go to. Granted, the wait time might be long for some, but if you come early enough, he'll see you right away. And yes, he does talk on the phone while you're with him, but I don't mind. He doesn't have a secretary so he does all the paperwork, which was easy. I just answered all the questions that he asked me. If you're willing to go along with the way he runs his practice, you should be fine because he is knowledgeable and listens to you. That's what is important.

he overbooks people on 5 minute increment appointments to make a buck, he keeps you waiting in his lobby for a long time, you honestly can't diagnose someone by talking to them for 10 minutes, at the same time he answers the phone talking to other patients about their issues which shows no sense of confidentiality, he rushes you out of his office to bring in the next 15 people waiting for him to do the same thing to them, he doesn't have a secretary and does his own paperwork trying to rip off the insurance companies by charging the highest rate possible - do not go to this psychiatrist, he is not worth it

He was the least timely or organized doctor that I have ever experienced. The worst part is that he doesn't even understand what's wrong with making a patient wait a half hour past your scheduled appointment. This guy is bad news.
