Dr. Paul Andrew Savel, MD

I'm late 20s, had just moved to town, I had declining health for the last 2 years. I went Paul Savel for abdominal and shoulder pain and my eyes feeling like they weren't seeing together. In my records it's dismissed as "period pain" even thought it was daily for months. Anytime I tried to describe what things felt like without medical words he'd repeat it mockingly then say "hhmp", never addressing the question. He made notes in my medical records of symptoms never discussed and questions never asked. I told him my shoulder blade felt like it was pushing out of my back at times, he looked at my back and said "It's not" stared at me then finally said "I don't know what you want to do about that." The shoulder issues were the main reason for a few visits and they are NEVER listed in my medical records. I left several appointments feeling like I was clawing at thin air and the only referral he made was to Behavioral Health. Several times I'd get to the pharmacy and my scripts were wrong.… Not only did he doubt prior diagnosis but he was openly negative about refilling them and an obvious hindrance. When I complained after the 3 time he waved a hand at me and said "Ugh, don't worry. You'll get your drugs." Thank goodness I found a new doctor that wasn't just useless. I ended up being diagnosis with a collagen disorder. My shoulder WAS dislocating and all my organs were bound up with adhesions. I was a few months away from having my kidneys strangled by the time I had surgery and I hate this doctor for wasting so much time and being so discouraging in my search for quality of life. I tried to complain the Patient Advocacy and some guy named Tony who said he'd been an Army recruiter before told me if I wanted it to get better I shouldn't file a complaint but just change doctors.

He is a VA doctor. He is not very knowledgeable and didn't listen. He was only doing a review of my medical records and he contradicted everything that the specialists had written.
