Dr. Paul Scolieri, MD

Possibly the worst doctor I have ever been to. He was argumentative the minute he walked in the door. When he asked if I had every had a headache for more than 1 day I answered that the only time that happened (once) I ended up having Covid. He immediately said “you have migraines” what?? Then without examining me he diagnosed me with acid reflux. When I questioned him and told him that I had struggled over the years with sinus infections he very condescendingly said “well do you want me to just do surgery on you?” All of this before he looked in my ears or my throat. He gave my ears and throat a cursory glance and gave me a prescription for migraines (I have never had a migraine in my life) and recommended Prevacid and a new diet for my alleged acid reflux. As an afterthought he told me he would write a script that would help with sinusitis. When I went to my pharmacy there was a prescription for something we had never even discussed. When I called the office they sent the… correct one - no apologies or explanations. I’m guessing other doctors in the practice may be good, but I won’t be going back to find out. This guy needs to retire or something.

Dr Scolieri is the smartest doctor I have ever met. Not only is he intelligent, but is kind, respectful, and spends the time needed. I am pretty sure that any negative review is from not even a real patient, because of being so far off. Horrible what people can try to do the reputation of someone so highly regarded.

Unfortunately, I have had do deal with numerous physicians throughout my life due to chronic problems. Dr. Scolieri gave me my life back after suffering for 30 years because of misdiagnose, and improper treatment. He is not only brilliant, but also kind and very funny. I recommend him extremely highly to everyone I care about.

Mr. Scolieri, I can’t even call him a doctor, is the absolute worst I’ve ever experienced. He does not listen. He does not put a whole picture of symptoms together, and instead throws crazy diagnoses at you for each separate symptom. I saw him a few times and he blamed my symptoms on acid reflux! Meanwhile another doctor the next day found my one ear to be very red and ‘angry’, and the other to be full of fluid. Vertebral migraine, Scolieri says. Seems more like this office is interested in having you undergo various odd tests to bill for than actually listen to the patient and take care of them. Don’t waste your time or money.

Dr Scolieri is hands down one of the rudest doctors I’ve ever met. He has no bed side manor. He asked me what was going on and 10 seconds into explaining it he said ‘what’s hurting’ he made me well up with tears for my second appointment today. I’m having a lot of issues with my throat and he blows me off and blames it on acid reflex and spent less than 2 minutes the room with me. He was checking my ears and I said could you please feel my throat as well? And he answered ‘uh ya I’m an ent I do it in order’ he started laughing with his student dr. I did not find it funny. He should not be working with the public. I will spread the word to everyone I can that he is the worst. South hills ent needs to Reevaluate keeping him there. No wonder why he always has openings.

Did an unnecessary surgery all I needed was polyps removed and did a deviated septum. should have been allergy tested. He’s not for the patient. Had a second opinion after the first surgery and really mad he did this to me. Never warned me that the polyps could come back until after he talked me into the septum surgery. My bills were and are still so high and he knew that was going to be the case for me. I had the worst experience so please get a second opinion and don’t get him to do your surgery

Dr. Scolieri and his staff were amazing. I was a wreck when Dr. Scolieri diagnosed me with a cancer. But he spent the time I needed to keep myself together, both before and after he operated on me. I’m so happy to say that I am cancer free, and forever grateful to Dr. Scolieri. I recommend him to everyone I know.

Brilliant diagnostician, with tremendous bedside manner, and compassion.

Wonderful physician, and caring and attentive person. Recommend highly!
