Went in for an impacted wisdom tooth and I'll say first that I'm a recovering addict and Dr Shirley knew this. Our first visit he rushed through and made sure to tell me emphatically I wouldn't be getting anything for pain without even talking to me about it so his staff and him knew I was a recovering addict. When I went in for surgery with my dad as my driver the unprofessional treatment started when they called my dad over to ask if I had eaten or drank since last night instead of asking me, making me feel like a child. I then proceeded to the surgery area where I was barked at like a dog to "stop it, stop that," when I was grunting in pain at the IV that he was jamming above my pointer finger knuckle(mind you I told them I was a tough stick and they knew from the start I was a recovering addict)..after two sticks he proceeded to call me a druggie and that he wasn't going to waste his time trying to stick me anywhere else because it would be of no use and my only option for a… complicated impaction was non sedated surgery where I would, again, be given nothing for pain. I was a drug user at one time, yes, and today I'm proud to be in recovery and there are non narcotic non opiate pain options but I wasn't worthy of any of them. Needless to say we didn't proceed and I was rushed out as quickly as I was rushed in. Most certainly do not recommend.

Charged $40.00 extra for the PPE his staff needs to wear due to Covid19. That was on top of the $470.00 he charged for an extraction using novacaine for my daughter.
