Dr. Paul Cameron Stillwell, MD

Dr. Stillwell has an awful bedside manner. The first and only time my son ever saw him, was HORID from the get go. He diagnosed my son with a brain tumor without an examination. We asked for tests to be run to confirm his diagnosis and he flat out refused. Stillwell then wanted some other tests run and ordered them telling me I'd have to drive another 10 hours in 6 weeks. I asked if they could be done that day since we were all ready over at the hospital and he wouldn't even think of it. I then went down to imaging and asked if they had time to do the tests that day and they said they did. I then called our insurance company and they agreed with me that the tests should be done STAT. Stillwell got angry with me because I stood up for my son and his medical care. I can not recommend him as a pediatrician.

I would not recommend Dr. Stillwell as he did not demonstrate a caring approach during the office visit. He was unwilling to explain his diagnosis, did not appropriately request follow up visits, did not provide educational information to handle the chronic disease diagnosis and did not suggest standard management practices of care. Thankfully my insurance company picked up the slack for these type of doctors and has a care management program to assist me and my child.

Dr. Stillwell has a poor bedside manner. I can't believe he is a pediatric doctor as he is NOT good relating to children. My son has chronic sinus infections which causes him to cough non-stop. Dr. Stillwell diagnosed my son with a "fake cough" right in front of him. He asked me if he could show me what to do for it. I immediately declined! We found a new doctor that was able to understand what was going on and help him.
