Dr. Svitra has provided me with many years of thorough, kind, and attentive care, with the highest level of expertise, managing my diabetic retinopathy. His office staff has been helpful and accommodating. I would highly recommend him as a true professional.

I would strongly recommend Dr. Svitra as a highly skilled and truly compassionate physician. About a year ago I suddenly lost sight in my left eye. My primary doctor sent me to see Dr. Svitra, and I was added on for the next day. He personally discussed all my prior symptoms and medical history, did a thorough exam and tests right away, diagnosing a blocked vein in the retina that was causing macular fluid. We started treatment the same day, after taking all th time I needed to understand the cause of my problem, what options we had, what to expect, and patiently answered all of my questions. After a year of treatments, I'm back to 20/20, and cautiously optimistic. The staff and office are also superb. He`s a great doctor, and truly cares about his patients, was always available when I had any questions or concerns.

I have major eye problems and Dr. Svitra is outstanding in every way. He has monitored my condition for over 15 years and I consider myself very lucky to have him. Waiting time is very minimal not that waiting for him would make any difference. I highly recommend Dr. Svitrs to anyone that has retina problems

I highly recommend Dr. Svitra. He has excellent credentials and a great bedside manner. He patiently explained my eye problem and provided the right treatment. He's like a breath of fresh air - he really cares.

The Best opthalmologist I have ever seen.He spends as much time as needed.I Why go to Manhattan to visit pomposity when you have a vastly better doctor right in Long Island
