Lifted 90 pound bags of concrete on Sunday, suffered painful heart attack Monday morning, Dr. Teirstein and his team inserted a stent on Tuesday afternoon. Complete turnaround. No chest pain at all. Have been doing twice weekly cardiac rehab and pushing hard. Alternative was open heart surgery. No thanks!

Over a year ago I was told I needed a heart replacement. There was nothing more my cardiologist could for me! I got a second opinion from my new cardiologist; he sent my records to Dr. Teirstein and was told that they were sure they could help me. I stalled as much as possible until the chest pain was too painful and much too frequent. What a positive experience with Dr. Teirstein and his staff. They put me at such ease and were so thoughtful to me. The procedure was very involved; cleared an attached vessel (99 percent blocked) place a stent as well. 20 yrs. ago Drs. here called my husband a dead man for refusing "open heart by-pass"-- a friend told us to see this Dr., and he has saved my husband's life over and over again, doing what no other Drs. are able to do-getting to the most difficult areas, he pioneered interventional cardiology, and still does. He is dedicated, skilled, and compassionate-I can't say enough good about him!!!

Dr. Teirstein was able to stent a coronary artery that a previous cardiologist was unable to open. It is no wonder why other cardiologists refer patients to him. He is by far one of the best in the business.
