Dr. Paul Michael Thaxton, MD

I went to Dr. Thaaxton after experiencing no help from 2 other doctors. I was experiencing Menopause with ALL the things, this man changed my life. Not only was he great but his whole staff was amazing. From the ;adies at the front desk to the ones in back, I dont think he could do his job so welll if he didn't have your support. Thank you guys soooo much.

I have been a patient of Dr. Thaxton for a few years. I find him to be professional and very caring. I'm very comfortable with him as he answers all my questions and is very encouraging with addressing my concerns. When I leave, he always tells me to call if I have problems. I highly recommend him.

I have been a patient of Dr. Thaxton’s since 1978. He is one of the most caring physician’s I have ever seen. I’m fortunate enough that he delivered both of my children, as well as he performed my hysterectomy many years later. When he retires from practice, I hope to be able to retire from needing to see/find another GYN physician.

Dr. Thaxton is knowledgeable and caring and very thorough. He manages my health care well. I’ve been seeing him for 43 years. He is a good friend!

Dr. Thaxton is an awesome doctor. He is so very knowledgeable as he keeps up with latest health initiatives. He is caring, compassionate and is truly concerned about his patients' health. I have been going to Dr. Thaxton for many years and realize that he is one of those special doctors that I have the privilege of being a patient. His office staff is wonderful and they will always try to get you in as soon as possible and will always return your calls. Only cares to sterilize Patients instead of trying to help them actually fix the problem.

I have been a patient of Dr. Paul Thaxton since 1978, the year my first child was born. I had pre-eclampsia. Dr. Thaxton's professionalism, kindness, and empathy toward me and my child exceeded my expectations. I knew that he would be my doctor of choice for a long time. There were other times including an emergency situation that Dr. Thaxton had to perform a procedure that required no time for anesthesia. He helped me through this with his encouraging words and excellent skills. I would recommend him for any female problems. He is not a obstetrician anymore but he certainly can help women through the pre-menopausal and post-menopausal situations.

I highly recommend Dr. Thaxton to any woman that is finished having babies and needs help with hormones and losing weight. I'm 38 years old and have searched for over a year for a doctor that specializes in helping and treating hormonal issues causing weight gain and other symptoms in women. It's a bonus that he treats men too. Dr. Thaxton was an answered prayer for me. I needed a doctor to take me serious. He did. I needed a doctor to listen to all of my symptoms. He did. I needed a doctor to dive in with me to figure out what was going on. He did. I needed a doctor to do something more than just prescribe a pill. He did. I needed a doctor to give me accountability. He did. I needed a doctor to be bluntly honest with me and not tell me I was perfect as is. He did. I needed someone intellectual who knew what they were talking about. He is. I'm 5 weeks in on the plan that he and I… agreed upon for me to balance my hormones, lower insulin and to lose weight. I have lost 20 lbs total so far and am feeling back to my old self. I now have more energy, no mid afternoon tiredness, sex drive is higher bc I'm feeling better, headaches are gone, I feel satisfied after meals, skin is clearing up, I wake up feeling energized, I feel like my hormones are balancing and leveling out. I went in to get a lump checked and he insisted on waiting on taking any estrogen until we knew it was ok. He said if it bothers you it bothers me so let's get it looked at. In the mean time my husband had a flat tire outside and he took the time to help us and took my husband to the tire place around the corner. He Blessed our day And we are so thankful for his time and kindness. I never feel rushed with him. ??

I was looking for a Gyn that was no longer doing OB to help me through my "Golden Years". I left there feeling defeated, confused, overwhelmed and I will not be back.
