Dr. Paul Anthony Tomcykoski, DO

My son was a patient of Dr. Paul. I called Dr. Paul (he was on call) when my athletic 10 year old had a high fever and had trouble walking. Dr. Paul like a broken record went thru his normal cookie cutter speech (give him fluids, etc.). I thought to myself, my son can't walk and he is asking me to treat it like a bad cough or flu (I told him my son couldn't walk). Needing a second opinion, I took him to a local medi center to be looked at (the doctor ordered blood work which was processed in their on site lab). Dr. Paul backwards anti technology office and staff doesn't have a lab onsite, they still use type writers, they can't email, scan, no online forms processing, etc.) and they are probably the most unprofessional staff I have ever dealt with in my life (in any field). They have no empathy for the patient or families concerns and should really know better considering they treat children. After the Doctor from the medi center reviewed the bloodwork, she told me to immediately… take him to pediatric intensive care unit out of town. The medi center doctor and the pediatric ICU doctors could not believe that we told our pediatrician our son couldn't walk and he didn't take proactive measures to protect our son's well being. I kept the CYA voicemail Dr. Paul had left me apologizing for his complete and total failure as a doctor when misdiagnosing my son's critical condition. Please be very very careful when selecting your child's pediatrician, especially one whose sole purpose is to make money.

Dr Paul is amazing!!

In one word...inept. My daughter had horrible gas and constipation the first year of her life. I would call the office for help.. And get the same answers over and over. They wouldn't help me. In fact, Dr. T himself told me that constipation was not a reason to call the office. He kindly gave me a packet showing the appropriate reasons to call him. He had me take notice that constipation wasn't on there. After one 10 minute visit to a specialist, my girl was put on Mirlax and we've been happily ever after.. No thanks to Dr. T. Oh, and his staff is TERRIBLE. They are nasty, judgemental and in desperate need of some intense continuing education. Water and Vaseline are not always the answer to constipation!! I have never been seen in less than 45 min. Usually one hour.

excellent doctor, overbooks appointments

Great with kids, good doctor. Whoever schedules appointments overbooks to the point that you can easily wait over an hour to see the doctor from your original scheduled appointment time, even the first appointment of the day!

Dr. Paul is my pediatrician's backup. I have to say he is wonderful to my family when we have had to schedule a sick visit. His office is super big and very clean. A+

Dr. Paul is very sincere and always remembers you as a patient.. having three children in very different age categories he treats them all as his own family. shows genuine concern and always asks how the other children are doing for each seperate visit.. truly genuine!
