Dr. Paul Joseph Toussaint

Dr. Toussaint is very passionate about his own opinions. If he disagrees with you - you will be scolded rather than educated why his recommendation is the best option. He is friendly as long as you don't challenge his views or ask questions. Also - if you call the office for a simple question that would not involve an office visit, they will not speak with you unless you allow them to bill your insurance for a telehealth visit (absolutely ridiculous). To give some background - we had a COVID exposure and just wanted to know what symptoms to look for/what we need to monitor for our 3 month old. No one tested positive, she did not have any symptoms, we were just being precautious and wanted to know what we have to monitor for. They offered no assistance, unless if we gave permission to bill my insurance. We changed pediatricians... Pros for the office: Easy to make an appointment, no wait times in the waiting room. Cute atmosphere for babies.

It doesn't seem like he likes kids. His interaction with my daughter was never the greatest. I denied my child getting the flu shot and instead of providing education as to why I should give her the flu shot he turned bright red and scolded my husband and I like we were some 5 yr olds telling me she could die. Meanwhile, she was receiving her other vaccinations. The rest of the appointment was so awkward. I tried giving him another chance but then they did not give me another appointment until 3 months out. He may overly stressed & overworked since his partner left?

We went to this pediatrician at least two times in the last few months and each experience was negative. Our baby was having a bad cold and had trouble breathing during the night without getting any sleep. Doctor didn’t listen to us, was in a some kind of hurry, didn’t checked anything and apparently he knows everything just by looking. And by the end, we didn’t gained anything from appointment and it was waste of time.

My children are now 17, 15, and 13, they have been seeing Dr. Toussaint since the oldest was 6 years old. My oldest has asthma and allergies, Dr. Toussaint has been able to keep it under control and Iâ??m happy to say that by following Dr. Toussaintâ??s plan he has not had an asthma attack in over 10 years and now he even runs cross country. Dr. Toussaint always takes the time to explain everything clearly to us and the kids love how he makes the appointment about them; speaking to them directly insead of going through mom. No matter where you go you have to wait to be seen, I have never waited over 20 minutes at this office but even if I did it would be worth it. The office staff is always warm and friendly and remembers us on our visits.

Yes, he may have long wait times 20-40minutes from appointment time, but he is so worth the wait. The kids love him! He interacts with the kids and is a big kid himself. He always takes his time and is very detailed and his knowledge is phenomenal. I would not change him or his staff for the world. Like they say "time is money" and "you get what you pay for"
