Dr. Paul Andrew Trautmann, MD

Don't let reviews and photo fool you. He had no time, no heart and no smile. While I was there I heard him telling someone they were pregnant, as in there is no privacy. There is no consideration for children if you have to take your child with you, don't go here. His office people sit around and don't do much but gossip and I suspect that many of the reviews are false from their sheer number alone and the dates, too many on same day. I do not recommend him, he did not seem to care about my health. I don't know what club you have to be in to get good treatment here but I apparently wasn't in it. The paintings in the waiting room should have been my warning that the place was just creepy.

Doctor Trautmann is very professional and you can tell he has a lot of experience. When I was pregnant I would drive 3 hours to and from to go see him. The office staff too always answered any questions I had or would get back to me with an answer.

I love Dr Trautmann and his staff!! My sister was the first in our family to find and visit him. He delivered all 4 of her children so when found out I was pregnant with my first I knew exactly who to go to! And now 7yrs later with our 2nd one on the way I am so glad I have such a great Dr! I refer everyone I know to his office because of the great treatment and individual time that you get!

When I was pregnant with our first daughter, I soon realized that the OB-GYN I'd been with for many years was a great gynecologist, but she and her staff did not serve our needs as an obstetrician. We began to ask around and because I'm a RN, through the "grapevine", I was introduced to Janie Moreno, Dr. Trautmann's RN at the time. I was a bit hesitant at first with the thought of moving from a female to a male OB-GYN, however Janie said, "Why don't you come visit the office, meet Dr. Trautmann and his wife, Charlotte, and then decide if it's a good fit". Well, long story short, they "had us at hello"! Janie is an amazing nurse and patient advocate (she's no longer with the practice and is greatly missed by our family)! Charlotte, Dr. Trautmann's wife, is also a RN and what we'd call the "soft", more personable, talkative, relational side of the office; while Paul is the equally important, "let's get it done and get it done right side." Case in point...everything was going great… throughout my first pregnancy. I was the picture of beautiful, pregnant, glowing health. Slipping into my 41st week of pregnancy (yeah, my first daughter wasn't budging...she was very content to just stay inside, LOL), I developed VERY high blood pressure. The latter part of that 41st week, I came in for my daily appointment and my blood pressure was through the roof! 200s/100s!! Dr. T did not mess around! He got me over to Methodist right away and cleared an OR for me and our baby immediately! He dropped everything and MADE CERTAIN that this Mama wasn't going to stroke out and that no harm would come to our precious child. With skillful precision he performed a needed c-section and did an absolutely amazing job! Not only that, but he understood that birth was the "answer" and held off on the dreaded magnesium sulfate (nasty side effects - yuck!). He agreed to "watch me" and make sure my blood pressure stabilized, which it did very shortly after our daughter was born. Most docs would have been overly aggressive in this regard. What I mean is -- had it been needed and my blood pressure not "recovered", he wouldn't have hesitated but he was cautiously optimistic understanding birth was the "cure" for this type of hypertension. Fast forward 13 months and we were pregnant with our second bundle of joy. The same love and care shown in my first pregnancy were the same love and care I received in the second. Dr. T always listens to our concerns and is pliable. He truly seems to understand that everyone has their idea of what medical care should look like and I'm one of "those" who tends toward holistic, rather than allopathic. He has always been respectful of that while offering up his advice based on medical research. In short, we consider the Trautmanns an extension of our family and thank God for introducing us to them!

I have been seeing Dr Trautmann for 14 years and he delivered both of my children. He is the most professional and best doctor I've ever worked with! Staff is always friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend him!

I really trust this doctor.He has been my doctor for the last 7 years. He has an amazing staff too.

Dr. Trautman is a wonderful Obstetrician. He is encouraging of his patients having the birth they want for their child including a natural birth. He is accepting of birth plans and his patients having a doula. He has a wonderful and calm bedside manner. Amazing obstetrician. I wish that all OB's were like him. I have three children and he delivered my two youngest. I would highly recommend.
