This doctor I used to see and so did my oldest when she was a baby. He misdiagnosed and very very clearly missed her infected ear drums and almost cost her her hearing...fast forward to today with another family member. Vana is oblivious even though this family members scores for the Medicaid Wellness Cognitive exam are clearly alarming and clearly should have alerted him to the fact this family member has a cognitive impairment but no he sloughs it off snd doesnt put two and two together that on the function ability and mobility the scores dont add up and documents all is good. I would not in any shape or form recommend Dr. Vana and have actually deterred people away after telling them our experiences!!

Is extremely knowledgeable. Cares about his patients. Great bedside manners. Comical and down to earth.

Now that I have read some of the other reviews, I have to comment. Went in for a physical exam. I didn't even get checked over, no questions asked. Less than 10 minutes total. Big waste of time.

Dr. Vana is great but Methodist is terrible! I have Medicare complete - very good coverage. BUT methodist billing is terrible!! They ignore my calls and my ins. company calls. They have been trying to charge me $386 for what my insurance says they are under contract to charge $236. 5 months and they still haven't gotten it straight. I am actually on hold with my insurance now while they are jerked around by Methodist billing. My rep says she has been transferred 6 times.

I felt like I was rushed. Did not do a thorough exam and did not ask me any questions about my history or medical issues, I left feeling like I had wasted my time and didn't get a complete check up. Will not go back.

Sent my Father home home with low blood pressure after a short rush acessment. He had fallen and was in pain. Went to emergency room instead were my fathers was admitted with pneumonia and two broken ribs

Spent very little time with me. Did not feel diagnosis was complete. Had to seek out another provider

Unbelievably short assessment. Did not ask questions or spend time with me. Felt rushed and left feeling like I didn't get the best out of the appointment.

THE BEST !!!

I like that Dr. Vana answers your questions and tells you what he finds out. A good bedside manner and a very sharp mind.
