Dr. Paul R Viola, MD

I don't even see him having a relationship with adolescents and children. He just sits there and offers no feedback. Always looks tired. Maybe he should retire. Personality ZERO.Sucks. Find someone with a more dynamically personality.

I went to Dr. Viola years ago, when he had an office in Torresdale, Phila and Buselton, Phila. I used to complain about my neck hurting, my bones hurting, but he never thought anything of it other than stress. After I left his practice, I was diagnosed with severe rheumatoid arthritis. I have since had two c-spine surgeries and two l-s spine surgeries. He had me on antidepressants, but missed the obvious. I suffered so long and was depressed, because my physical complaints were not ruled out. Half the time, he looked like he was falling asleep when I was talking to him. For an M.D. he should have ruled out physical problems first. He made me feel like my complaints were not real. He is monotone with not much interaction. Unfortunately, at our last session, after several years, was about that I did not have enough insurance of money to pay for his services. He offered no suggestions of where I could go for a more reasonable price. He was a miserable person. Don't recommend… him. He would be better suited to medicate instutionalized patients, rather than outpatients. I have met better since, more caring and compassionate psychiatrist who has helped me with my physical as well as psychological issues as a result of living with many physical disabilities.
