Dr. Paul Michael Yandell, MD

Dr. Yandell is not like many of the doctors out there. In his office visits he is very precise. He asks the questions he needs to ask completes his exam and thrn gives you the details of treatment options. He drew me a diagram so I could better understand. My diagnosis required surgery. Once in the operating room while they were setting up for anesthesia he could tell I was nervous. He sat down next to me and said. "I am just going to sit here with you and old your hand until you fall asleep" He is brisk with his words at times but very kind and compassionate. My procedure went very smoothly and I am very happy to have had him as my doctor. He is extremely professional and knows what he is doing.

I was sent to this doctor for pelvic floor dysfunction. He told me he doesn't treat that; performed pelvic exam which was painful; he sent me to another doctor in that clinic and the scheduler in that clinic told me I couldn't see that specific doctor. Dr. Yandell also denied pelvic floor dysfunction which had been previously diagnosed by a specialist in pelvic floor dysfunction in the city I had moved from.

My husband & I were impressed with his knowledge of my issues. I had seen a uro & gyno on separate occasions who could not figure out my issues. It took him 30 secs to realize what it was...I would say he spent at least an hour with us on our initial visit. Once he performed the diagnostic test he then took us into his office to explain the situation & what our options were.I had to meet with him again prior to pre-op & he throughly went over everything again to make sure I understood what the issues were & if I had any additional questions for him prior to surgery. The day of surgery he spent at least 10 mins with us again to make sure everything had been answered to our satisfaction. Had the surgery to correct it & feel great.

This doctor has an arrogant attitude and speaks down to you like you are ignorant. Also made some rude comments. I do NOT like this doctor, but he is the only one in this area with the experience in caring for my particular issue.
