Dr. Paula Ford Ciesielski

I found Dr. C to be thorough, kind, conscientious with a friendly bedside manner. I also find her staff to be cheerful and receptive.

Does not listen well. Has preconceived ideas regarding medications. Not current on new medications to treat chronic conditions.

I've been seeing her for a year and a half and am now looking for a new doctor. I find myself having to be my own advocate when having follow-up visits for treatments that have failed. Half the time I don't feel heard. The main reason I'm looking for a new doctor is because I'm tired of having to be my own advocate and defend what I'm feeling both physically and emotionally. Though a good friend of mine sees her and feels the exact opposite.

I've knows Dr. C. for years. She's a good doctor, was better and had more time for her patients when she was at the University of Oregon. Her office staff leaves a lot to be desired. A little rude, and they fail to get the paperwork (insurance stuff) taken care of. Dr. C. is a wonderful Doctor. She's a little abrupt and her bedside manner leaves a little to be desired. She is careful and honest and very direct, which sometimes comes off as rude.

Dr C. listens carefully and works collaboratively with me. I appreciate her conservative approach, especially not prescribing medications unless necessary. She is very conscientious about seeing me before making any referral. She is the first primary care doctor I have had in decades who seems primarily interested in doing things right, regardless of how much time that may take her.

I really like her but am interested in what others think of her.
