Dr. Paula Anne Harvan, MD

Dr. Harvan may know her stuff, but to put it bluntly, she is lazy. It is as though her patient, that would be me, is too much trouble to deal with. I do not recommend. Her assistant is rude and hostel and so is Dr. Harvan.

I've spent several (5) months with Dr. Harvan trying to determine the nature of a breathing problem. Instead of working with me as a problem solver, she's interacted with me as though I am more of an annoyance to her everyday duties. I've been through rounds of asthma treatment, CT Scans, X-rays, EKG's, bloodwork, and we still have not found definitive answers. When another doctor discovered (via the CT scan I took a month ago) that I have a small hiatal hernia, Dr. Harvan minimized the issue (just as she had minimized moderately high TSH levels, a thyroid nodule, and a genetic history of hypothyroid a month earlier). I've been left to play doctor and figure this out on my own, because none of these doctors talk to each other, and they either over-treat me or underestimate potential issues. Dr. Harvan has been the worst of the bunch in the Northshore System. I would not recommend.
