Dr. Paula Sones, DDS

My first career in the healthcare field was not as a dentist, but as a registered nurse. I believe this experience gives me a greater understanding of the need to be nurturing and compassionate towards my patients. I was exposed to the field of dentistry after taking a job in day surgery where we primarily hosted dentists, caring for kids and people with special needs who require general anesthesia for their dental care.  I quickly became interested in dentistry because it combines the hands-on technical skills that I enjoy with the personal relationships that I find rewarding. 

It was exactly ten years after completing my undergrad degree at the University of Pennsylvania, that I began my training in my second career as a dentist. I attended the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, California for my Doctorate of Dental Surgery, which I earned with honors in 2010.

Since then, I’ve gone beyond my required hours of continuing …education in order to provide up-to-date care to my patients. The field of dentistry is always introducing new technologies and products which challenge me and interest me. I am constantly learning new techniques and incorporating new technologies into my office.
