Pavani Chalasani, MD, MPH

Dr. Chalasani has been my doctor since the very beginning of my cancer diagnosis. I have dealt with many doctors and Dr. Chalasani is, by far, one of the great ones. She is not only smart but also very kind and all around good person. She is very clear in her communication and she lays out all the options of treatment along with the benefits and drawbacks of each. She is in constant communication with me thru staff, personal email, or phone calls. That certainly shows her commitment to me as her patient. She is also very easy to get in touch with if I have a question and she listens to my concerns. I can say with absolute confidence she is at the top of her field. In the last year alone I have seen at least 10 interns train with her. A great doctor who passes on her wisdom to others who will become doctors. I can only hope those interns will be just as good as Dr. Chalasani. As far as her being involved in research and clinical studies, I actually chose her because of that… reason. I never once felt like she prioritized her research over my well-being. I feel like I hit the jackpot with Dr. Chalasani because research and clinical studies lead to answers about diseases and ultimately cures. I like the fact that Dr. Chalasani has read all of the most recent trials and studies. I have benefited greatly from that. If we do our part and continue to learn, test and exlore then it is possible to beat cancer altogether. And I personally want to beat it. Bottom line. Dr. Chalasani is a fantastic doctor and if I could give her 10 stars I would.
