Dr. Pavel Klein, MD

I came to see Dr Klein in 2012 after relocating back to Maryland. Dr Klein has a soft spoken bedside manner. He was able to help me transition from 1 medication to beginning 2 medications for my Epilepsy which has been a tremendous improvement in my care. He allows me to wear my testing electrodes over a weekend which is convenient. His facilities are comfortable and staff are good.

I go with my mom to her appointments. She’s always a little nervous but the atmosphere is so amazing. Dr. Klein and his staff make us feel safe and calm. He is always there to answer any question. He is patient with us and I really appreciate that. My mom has seen a lot of doctors and he is her favorite.

I second the comment made about him only extending the quickest "solutions", which also tend to be the most expensive. I have had extensive conversations about how I feel about the processes, medications, and my methods of preventing seizures ( which I used to be seizure free for two years ). He doesn't seem to truly care what you have to say unless it's in agreement with his advice. I've found that he only asks what he needs to verify his western ideologies and medicinal practices.

It appears that Dr. Klein is not interested in his patients, at least in those who do not have extremely difficult cases. He prefers to deal with computers and charts that are filled for him by his assistance. Interaction with the patient is minimal. Furthermore, there was no real discussion of the sleep tests, while two of them were prescribed - one at home and one overnight. In the follow-up visit Dr. Klein asked whether there were two tests performed. This seems to be quite an unexpected question from the doctor who had the file with the results in front of him. No results have been discussed in details. Moreover, the sleep efficiency that Dr. Klein mentioned when was specifically asked about the results drastically differs from that provided in the documents. The materials that were e-mailed incorrectly indicate that there were issues discussed which in fact they were not. In conclusion it seems that Dr. Klein is interested in performing maximum of expensive tests with minimum… time spent on the patient.

I have been taking my two sons to Dr. Klein for years. He is a caring doctor who listens to his patients as well as the parents and takes the time to make sure he has answered all of our questions. I've never felt rushed and have always been confident in the care my boys have received. We have had to see him for routine and urgent matters and we never wait long before being seen. The staff is excellent! They take the time to get forms filled out for the schools and prescriptions refilled. What's great is that he sees kids and adults so my boys don't have to transition to another neurologist when they become adults.

My daughter and I both have partial complex seizures. I was diagnosed at 17 and, other than my beloved Emory University neurologist who retired in the mid 90s, I've not found a more caring and thorough neurologist in the 30 years I've been seeing them. And I've certainly never discussed Dostoyevsky with a doctor before.

He's not the most warm and nurturing type of dr., but seems to know a great deal about epilepsy and various medicines.

Dr.Klein has been so helpful with my treatment. He is very kind and has a wonderful staff!

Dr. Pavel Klein is an EXCELLENT doctor! My wife has had epilepsy since a teenager and with her now in her mid 40's, has been through many doctors. We've been with doctor Klein for around 8 years. In our experience what made Dr. Klein stand out from the rest was simply his caring demeanor along with a thorough dedication to the patient, their condition and above all, their concerns. Considering neurology, nothing weighs more on a patient's mind than having a caretaker that simply usher clients in and out. With Dr. Klein we were able to talk about different meds, new discoveries, what the patient is experiencing in relation to their condition, and he wanted to hear your ideas. You left educated and totally satisfied. And his recommendations for other services were with doctors at top of their fields. We have to admit, it has been therapeutic in putting our minds to ease in having such a wonderful doctor.

Dr. Klein is attentive, resourceful, supportive, and focused on finding the answers.
