Dr. Peggy Osztreicher Hunter, MD

Her work would be a 5 because she knows what she is doing, but the overall experience would be like a 3 for me because I leave annoyed every time I go. I feel like Dr. Hunter is nice and well intentioned and she is definitely a good dr, but I think she's clueless about how she comes across. English is my mom's second language and she speaks english very well! However, she's in her 80s and sometimes she hesitates because the word she's thinking of may not come out or her voice is low, but it's never a problem at any of her drs. If they don't understand her accent and want to know what she said they just look at me and I will fill in. But Dr. Hunter always has little comments that I am sure she doesn't mean in a bad way but are very off putting. The last time I was there my mom said something to her and I was right there in the room, she could have asked my mom to repeat herself or asked me what she meant but instead she said to her assistant, " I don't understand but I can smile and… shake my head like I do". I thought that was so rude!! If your patient has a concern, wouldn't you want to try to find out what it is instead of talking about us to our face to another staff member? I have never been to another dr where there are constant comments about language.

Dr Hunter is by far one of the best doctors I have ever been to . She is friendly, kind, sensitive and extremely thorough and knowledgeable. She has my complete trust. Whatever the procedure, she and her wonderful assistant Jackie always make me feel comfortable and at ease. Her new location in western Lake Worth is very nice and the office staff friendly and efficient . I highly recommend Dr. Peggy Hunter.
