Dr. Peggy Yih, MD

Dr Yih is curt, she rushes through the appointment, she doesn't answer questions, interrupts you if you do speak, and is very dismissive (even as she ultimately comes to the same conclusion re your concerns!) She does not take a full medical history and is extremely brusque. Beyond disappointed and somewhat disgusted by the level of care from such an esteemed practice. Despite the smile on her face and the recommendation from a highly trusted colleague, I will not be seeing Dr Yih again.

Dr. Yih's been may PCP for 13+ years. For every reason, best internist ever.

Dr. Yih was recommended to me by a colleague at work. I trusted my colleagues recommendations, so I considered having Dr. Yih as my GP. The experience has been very disappointing and discouraging though. Like some of the reviewer’s, I agree that Dr. Yih is curt and rude. She doesn’t listen to what I am asking, instead, would cut me off and talk over me, and was being very condescending when I told her how I have tried reaching out to her, considering she’s my GP, but have never once been able to get in touch in the entire year of 2022, any time I have been sick. She responded by saying that we have to take care of critically ill patients and so others have to wait. So I don’t understand, does she mean that patients have to be critically ill for her to be seeing them? So basically she would let her patients fall sick to the point where they get critical and then she will see them? She was also being very defensive of any issue I brought up, so it was really hard to discuss anything… with her. I also asked her if I could get a flu shot, for which she said yes, during my annual physical, but that never happened. So she seems careless talks over people and is condescending. I’m sure she is good at her practice. However if she is not practicing that, it doesn’t do anything for the patients. Obviously I’m going to change my GP this year.

I have been a patience of Dr. Yih's for almost a decade. While I like her professionalism, a series of recent mistakes and oversights make me want to find a new doctor. She recently called to tell me that test results indicated I probably had an illness that is usually terminal—the alarming way in which she delivered this already-alarming news did not make clear that this diagnosis was not final. Another doctor was soon able to offer a different take, but not before I spent a week genuinely thinking that I was almost certainly dying. Two months later, she still has never reached out to see how my case had resolved. Meanwhile, I experience chronic pain and have other ongoing health concerns that affect my daily wellbeing, but that Dr. Yih has never been able to offer any proactive guidance about or treat. I think I would be healthier if I had been seeing a different doctor all these years.

She is on top of everything and asks you alot of questions. She is caring, concerned, intelligent and very human. I am thrilled with her and always feel that she gives me all the attention I 'need.

I have seen my share of doctors in my time, and was so impressed with Dr. Yih. She was kind, thorough, and explained everything she was doing as she went along. She was so warm I practically wanted her to adopt me! Dr. Yih was also knowledgeable about the conditions I have, which are not run-of-the-mill types of things. Few things in life are perfect, but in terms of doctor visits, my experience yesterday was about as close to perfect as could be and I am grateful.

I saw Dr. Yih for the second time this year and was disappointed in her lack of follow up or recommendations regarding treatment for my issues. She never contacted me regarding test results. I had to call her and when she did call back she was curt and seemed uninterested in helping me. She was far better during the actual visit but I guess out of sight-out of mind. I know that doctors are overbooked and have TOO MANY patients but I expected more from a physician affiliated with this prestigious institution. I will be looking for a new primary care physician.

Dr. yih is curt, rude and does not answer your concerns or questions. She seems to be in a rush to get you out of her office. However, she did spend a lot of time inquiring if my health insurance would pay for the blood work she ordered......the blood work which I never had done since I walked out!

I wouldn't recommend this doctor or establishment which is poorly organized. Terrible phone system & doctor doesn't spend enough time with patients and misdiagnoses.

First of all, let me begin with a positive note, overall I agree with other reviewers that Dr. Yih is very polite and courteous to her patients. However, I am truly disappointed the amount of time which she had spent with me, it was only 5 minutes. Moreover, Dr. Yih totally dismissed my questions and concerns, her rate of speech was tremendously fast After this initial visit with her, I was totally blow away because Dr. Yih has earned a lot of 4 stars reviews. After all I don't have any confidant that Dr. Yih and I can have an open discussion related to my medical concerns.
