Dr. Pelin Batur, MD

I was referred to Dr Batur because I am too high risk for typical hormone therapy options. She placed an IUD (it was almost painless!) and used lower doses of estrogen that I could tolerate. She really listened to my concerns and worked with me to find something that I could tolerate without terrible side effects I used to get.

I have been doctoring for over 5 years for the same issues and never making any headway. I decided to drive over a hour and to see Doctor Batur after reading about her accomplishments and watching her videos. I first saw her resident Doctor who was wonderful and then Dr. Batur came in. This doctor is so full of knowledge and so good at explaining it to her patient. She made me feel so comfortable and she wanted to make sure I was getting the care I wanted. She took her time, she backed her decisions for me with evidence and ask me how I felt about the decision. She diagnosed me with something many providers in my local area and didnt have enough information on and she made me feel like I was fully supported. And she gave me a referral for things that she questioned. Also, she went above and beyond on both MD and Gyno care seeing how she has both standpoints. I could go on and on! I will add they were wonderful with my 3 year old daughter being with me as well and made the appt feel… stress free.

Dr. Batur is wonderful; some of her staff however leave a lot to be desired. I have called 3 times trying to get a return call, but have had no response. I've spoke to 2 different people and both have been extremely rude. If I wasn't so happy with Dr. Batur herself, I would consider finding another physician as no one should be treated so poorly.

Spent a lot of time with me. Helped explain treatment options and included me in the plan for it, which I appreciated.

My whole family sees her, and we all love her. She found my thyroid cancer, and my sisters breast lump. Hers turned out to be benign, I wasn't so lucky. The thyroid specialist told me that I was lucky because not every doctor can feel something so small. I don't trust my health to anyone else

I don't agree with below because at my fall visit, I literally yelled at her about my frustrations with the cleveland clinic. It was so bad I actually sent her a card apologizing later. She was really nice about it, even shared her own frustrations as a patient and gave me good hints at weaving through the system. If my yelling did not get her to be mean to me, I don't know what it would take. I think she is a human face to that big clinic machine
