Dr. Penny M Mericle

Penny Mericle, D.M.D., M.S.D.No one loves a nice smile more than Dr. Penny Mericle.  She’s lived in Wyoming Valley her whole life and has spent the past 20 years creating sparkling smiles. She takes time with each patient to make sure they get the attention and results they deserve.She graduated from Meyers High School, received a B.S. in Pharmacy and a D.M.D. degree in dentistry from Temple University and a M.S.D. in orthodontics from St Louis University.  She was elected to Omicron Kappa Upsilon-the national dental honor society and the Pierre Fauchard Society.  Dr. Mericle has done research in microbiology, biochemistry and orthodontics and has several published papers.  She is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO).Dr. Mericle is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) and has sat on a committee to review the Surgeon General’s report.  She is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and has served on the New Dentist Committee …in Chicago.  She has been the president of the Luzerne County Dental Society, as well as dental health chairman, vice-president, and a board member.  Additionally, she has served as treasurer of the third district dental society.
Dr. Mericle started the brace place in 1987 in Wilkes-Barre, PA.  In 2002 the office expanded and moved to its current location in Forty Fort, PA.
